The PS3 exclusive title SOCOM 4 has officially been DELAYED until 2011. A blog posting at the developers website apologizes and claims the reason for the delay is because they wanted to deliver the 'most immersive' SOCOM yet and needed to go into extra time for that to happen. However, I'm currently wondering how much Move had to delay with this title? Afterall, Socom 4 was being shown off with Move quite a lot.

Neither Move nor Kinect are 'winners' in motion sensing technology - that's the verdict of free to read UK paper Metro. Apparently, both devices have their annoying issues and do not represent a big leap in motion sensing. Kinect is said to be 'great' if there was less lag, while Move would be better if the product didn't look like an ice cream cone (bit a cheap-shot isn't it?).

For a while now, we've been hearing how the 3DS has the ability to display images on par with the current crop of consoles. How mis-informed we have been if the new Street Fighter 3DS screens are anything to go by. Whilst the graphics look fine for a portable, they certainly don't 'look all that', perhaps they will have the wow factor in 3D with all those pixels included!

Both Playstation and Move have revealed the total sold/shipped numbers (big difference) of their games consoles. The PS3 has reportedly sold 38.1 million while the 360 has 'shipped' 41.7 million. Eitherway, it looks like the PS3 is poised to overtake the Xbox 360 sometime in the future, especially when one considers it was released a year later than the 360.

This is the strongest indication yet that Nintendo has done the right thing by being the first to market with its new portable offering. Waning demand and currency issues resulted in the company making a recent quarterly profit of a little over $266 million. While a lot of companies out there would be hugely happy with this, the figure represents Nintendo's lowest ever quarterly profit at the start of the financial calendar.

Brett Siddons of Microsoft, is yet another executive to use the same line of argument at MS when defending the price of Kinect. Siddons noted that if you compare Kinect to the Wii or Move, you will find it is very competively priced (in consideration to two player). Siddons urged folks to do the 'maths' themselves and from the sounds of it, the maths are just about right in terms of what the MS camp is promoting.

PDP must be really foolish... a listing at EBGames (online) currently has a 'Kinect Extension Cable' from them priced at the crazy region of $49.99. So let me get this straight, Kinect costs $150 and this costs 1/3 of that already very high price? Sounds like optimism at its very best.
