Hirai noted that perspective in the marketplace has changed, what used to be right for Japan used to be 'right' for the rest of the world. Despite saying that final fantasy 13 would never get a japanese release on the 360 Square Enix president Yoichi Wada is having to eat his words, not only is it coming out in japan but its getting even better for 360 owning ff fans as the Final Fantasy XIII: Ultimate Hits International pack hits on december16th 2010. It doesn't, however, end there, the 360 version will include additional content originally intended to be released as dlc on the ps3 but abandoned and also have several scenes that were cut from the original retail release restored.

Sony's Lawyers has previously stopped the PSJailbreak from being sold in Australia, Germany and The Netherlands. Now it's Sweden's turn according to IDG Sweden. Sony's lawyers has sued Manzzon, Rejoy and WeChip and those stores has now removed the product from their shops.When checking the list of Authorized Dealers on PSJailbreak.com, you can now see that only 16 of the 26 listed shops actually sell the product.

Sony's crazy fictional VP Kevin Butler has gone nuts! He has only gone and made a 'comparison chart for Playstation Move which compares it to Kinect, the Wii, a hoop with a stick and of course a... pineapple. Unsurprisingly Move ticked all the boxes, while only the hoop with a stick could match it for reminding Grandma of her youth. Check out the comparison to the left inside (click on it to enlarge). The official PSJailbreak team has confirmed that it is product is now shipping. Of more interest is the fact they have confirmed that they have an update to defeat firmware v3.42 ready which will be released in around seven days. They also claim that it will ONLY work with their solution and not clones. Moreover, they make a plea for users to support their solution because it costs money to provide support and new features. Famed 'Xbox' hackers Team Xecuter have revealed that their factory has been commissioned to manufacture the Minimus AVR USB dev kit and have secured a large amount of components from Atmel. In addition to 'competitive pricing', Xecuter is guaranteeing high quality production as they do with all their products in the past as well as a 'tweaked design'. Power and Status LED's have been added as well as more duable RST/HWB buttons for bootloader acesss etc.The kit should be at some retailers next week. Looks like there will be no shortage of solutions, although hackers will have to 'fight back' with updates.

Microsoft has thrown out the launch details for Kinect in Japan. It looks like the folks of Japan will get the kit cheaper than those in the UK but one of the stand-out announcements was a new Brain Training gaming. The game is apparently called 'New Brain Training' and makes use of the ever popular Dr Kawashima and requires Kinect owners to answer with their bodies.

The Last Guardian first shown off in 2009 will have a proper demonstration with previously unknown details revealed. The first application has been released for the Playstation 3, An FTP server! The application enables the user to connect to a Playstation 3 console and transfer data to/from the hard drive or any connected storage device. Right now the application is buggy and it also comes with a warning. We have been told by Mathieulh that this application has been compiled with the official SDK, As such links to the software are prohibited.

A couple of days ago, Sony revealed a line of 3D laptops that are due to be released next year. Although the 3D laptops will require the use of 3D glasses. The idea behind them is to allow users to play games or watch movies in 3D but switch back to normal 2D viewing as and when they please via the tap of a button. Can anyone out there really seeing this taking off? Or is glasses-free 3D viewing essential for more portable items?

Maxconsole member Dsav posted an interesting bit of news if true. The official PSJailbreak will release an update for their devices that is compatible with firmware v3.42 next week and these updates will not compatible with 'clones'. Apparently, Spanish website Elotrolado posted the following (translated): "After talking with the manufacturer i can confirm that next week we will already have available an update for the PS Jailbreak to add compatibility with this new version of firmware v3.42, and also have available a new version of Backup Manager with important new features (at the moment can not indicate one.) But more importantly, according to the manufacturer, these two actualizazciones not be compatible with any of the clones". He posted this in an earlier thread here

Good call by Michael Pachter. Instead of pointing to the reason of piracy for a decline in software sales, he has actually made a compelling case. Pacther believes that the games software sales decline has been caused by online multiaplyer functionality. With over 25 million people playing the likes of MW 2, FIFA 10, Gears of War 2 etc for hours on end, Pachter realises that this is severely limiting other titles sales. Does this ring true for you?

The guys have released the new PSGroove update and the changelog is as follows - "Added a payload which patches lv2 to add peek and poke syscalls." This allows you to read and write memory essentially.
