Hello,
Thank you for writing us at EA Technical Support. I understand that you are currently having issues with the requirements for Burnout Paradise. I apologize for your situation, and the inconvenience that this causes you.
The hard drive is needed to store temporary data when playing online as the data transferred from one console to another requires storage space greater than what the memory card can contain.
If you have any other questions feel free to reply to this e-mail, and I will be very glad to help you out to the best of my ability.
Should you require further assistance with this game or other Electronic Arts games in the future, please visit our website and review our extensive Self Help knowledgebase at (http://support.ea.com/).
Thank you,
L********.

I have just checked and it doesn't say the HDD is required on the Box or in the manual (PAL version). Just a high speed Internet connection is required for online play.
Just how much information is required, even 6 players can't generate that much information.
Support developers and go buy brand new games.

oh right since MGS4 & MGO are racing sims....stfu and the almighty cell is about powerful enough to compute numbers but gaming wise its the same cup of tea as the 360 except the 360 has more acessible ram

That sucks man, I'm sorry to hear the experience is ruined for you. The Hard Drive...interesting. That could be because the PS3 was the lead platform for developing this game and if they are identical, then the online methods must be the same as well requiring a Hard Drive which the PS3 has as standard but for 360s, not everyone has a Hard Drive.
I'm sorry to hear that, its a shame that EA didn't note it on the boxart

i would seriously think aout taking this further y contacting EA again and asking what there solution is to your problem and also contact trading standards about it not being playable as advertised
I'm sure it must be under sale of goods act as not being as described , maybe even false advertising as it states you can play online with only a high speed connection
not 100% sure on this one so maybe wrong
never know may lead to a free harddrive if your persistant enough

If only the game thoroughly sucked on its own merits, we could just consign this to the scrap heap. Too bad it seems to be getting pretty good reviews.
Last played ( PC PS3 DS PSP Wii Other ) :
Civilization 4: Complete, Mirror's Edge, LittleBigPlanet, Chrono Trigger, Wave Race: Blue Storm (gc)

This is where the PS3 version shines again. No Problems but 360 version needs a HDD.
Its a shame that for those who don't have a HDD for the 360 miss out on this game because EA didn't note it out on the case as a requirement.
Hope the problems are sorted for you

Actually it makes it even worse, It shows that even when EA developers do make something decent the company just rushes it to the market without thoroughly polishing the product, I mean hello MS sure sells a good amount of Arcade SKU and all these people can't play online just because EA didn't take time to make it work? I bet the game has some nasty bugs too.
