[RELEASE] LocoRoco Motion Plugin v0.8 - True Next-gen experience in your hands
LocoRoco Motion Plugin v0.8
---------------------------
This is the first ever homebrew that provides motion support for a commercial game. You can buy the Neo Motion kit here ; It's a great investment you won't regret.
The name is self-explanatory. You tilt the PSP either left or right and Loco's do their magic.
Videos Illustration:
Tutorial / How to use the plugin
Fast Paced action video
Installation:
1) Copy MotionRoco.prx to seplugins folder
2) Add the line
PHP Code:
ms0:/seplugins/MotionRoco.prx
to game.txt in seplugins folder.
3) Enable in recovery
Currently in progress:
- Jumping by tilting forward then backwards.
- Fix for audio
Any ideas for improvement welcome.
Enjoy!

Important Note Regarding this Version:
If you ever experience sluggish behaviour or motion sensing donot seem t o happen; exit and restart the game.
There is a 1 in 3 Chance of successful launch.
This is something I am trying to investigate and should be fixed sooon

I heard you could buy some adaptor cable to make it compatible with slim.
I think I got a fix for audio. Audio + MOTION

Are you willing to share the source of this release?
I'm interested because it seems like you could use this PRX and remap left and right tilt to any two buttons, it just happens to work with Loco Roco really well.

is it still possible to use the L and R buttons to jump, or do you HAVE to jump by tilting forward then backwards (when it's complete)?

Tilt controls don't work for consoles its a fact, tilt controls on a handheld is just retarded I would not want to tilt the screen Im supposed to be looking at, but thats just me. Nice proof of concept anyways.

Well, this sounds extremely interesting.
I've actually ordered one just so i can try it out.
Theres a few games that it could work quite well on - like that blob of mercury one, maybe a few of the other puzzle type games.
A racer would be cool as well - does it sensor up and down as well so maybe you could use it to accelerate and brake?

excellent - I just need to borrow a fat psp to give it a go. :>
My partner always tilts the psp in the direction she's moving the locos in so she would think it was great.

Great Job Mr305
I have to find out a way to purchase one Neo Motion Kit...Just to try out your plugin!
It's curious, but when I play LocoRoco I instintively tilt the PSP to same side that I want to move it...now it's just tilt it!
I just remember to say that 'cause of what was said by Trashcat...
I think when you are grabbing[with your hands] something that shakes or tilts, you are able to follow it with your eyes: even for reading...[for ex. a newspaper reading during a bus ride]
...but not if the 'thing' is in the other hands[not yours]
EDIT: tralalawala stole my post[LOL ] by few minutes...
