Supercard SD Mini Gameboy color save help
Hi,
Would really like some help with saving my game progress playing Zelda DX on my GB sp using the Supercard SD mini - I tried the left + right triggers and get the menu but when I hit A nothing happens. I also tried the left + right triggers plus select and A to save - this flashes saving and goes back the the input screen like I hit the left+right triggers. I have the rom saved and created a .sav file in the root of my flash card. I've read the guide and still no luck. My current bio version has been updated to ver 1.84. I must be doing something minor wrong, please help!

Is it not possible to save the game through the save menu in the actual game?

I tried that also but it seems to work 50% of the time, its really crazy so I'm just banging my head on the wall over this annoying problem. I did just create a GB folder in the root of my SD card and moved all my GBC roms in there. This has alowed the Save game state to pop up. But when I try to load the save game state it wont let me. I A click the load save state and nothing happens.

Goomba Color is the emulator used to emulate GB and GBC games on the Supercard, and it does not support savestates. The menu options are there, yes, but they don't do anything at all. The only way to work saves is by using the game's built-in saving mechanism, then using the L+R+A+Select button combination to send the updated save info to the *.sav file.
If you're having trouble with the *.sav file not being updated, you can try the QPC method. Save in-game and press L+R to enter the Goomba Color menu (this is Goomba's cue to update the Supercard's SRAM itself, but you still need to save the updated SRAM to the .sav file). Power off and quickly power back on in GBA mode. Press right to get to the Saver tab and navigate to the *.sav file. Press A, and it should say "do you save to SD?" at which point you hit A again to confirm. I'm not entirely sure if this works with the built-in emulators, but it's worth a shot.
EDIT: more info about the QPC method available at http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/Supercard#QPC_Saving

Thank you for the advice (the last part worked). I was thinking about getting the M3 SD Perfect or I'm open to any advice on a good alternative to the Supercard. I'd prefer one that can save multiple games and provides decent GBA/GB/GBC emulation and is easy to use.
