Angry !!! WARNING !!! Xbox Live Uses!!!

Hi guys, just for the heads up, I was playing on Halo 3 back up copy on my 360 tonight when all of a sudden I lost live to notice that I have been banned from xbox live.

I was using firmware iXtreme 1.2c on a TS drive which is the MS28 and I flashed it without connecting AV cables which I heard helped to not get banned.

I flashed my firmware over 4 months ago now and all was fine until now.

Now I have a console which I cannot use on live PLUS accessories I bought like the Chat Pad all to be useless now.

I am in the UK and the recent games I played are Halo 3, Guitar Hero 3, Time Shift and Crash Of The Titans.

I am not sure if this is due to the fall update due out or not.

All my games was patched and tested with XDVDMulleter beta 10.1 and ALL checked out perfect.

Microsoft should not ban users which pay for a service, and now everything I have spent has been put down the drain.

I will be on the phone tomorrow to Microsoft and would like some suggestions to help get a 360 back that is capable of going on Live.

Thanks all and I hope everyone else out does not get banned.

James

So, you illegally modified your drive, broke microsoft's terms of service (which you agreed on when you signed up for live and it's a legally binding contract), and you're complaining about it? Playing online with a copy is a risk, you took that risk and got caught. There is nothing you can do about it since you broke not only the law but a contract with the service you signed up for.

Do not close this thread. MS are conducting a new round of bans and this in itself is news.

If some of you people care so damn much about Xbox Live. Then buy the games that you know you will be playing online, like COD4 and HALO 3. It is to much of a risk to play on live with back ups.

If you want to be cheap and not pay for Online Xbox Live games, then do not ***** when you get caught, you know what the risks are.

well obviously you dont.

whats wrong a ds fanboy or banned?

and the_nothing,perhaps it has to do with firmware and not games or the other way round and some people do buy originals.

only time will tell.apparently c4eva is trying to suss out what is going on,they are going to check the logs and find out but,it might be game related and if it is it might be harder to suss.

I know jack about the subject and am not modded myself but for interests sake... If people are banned because of a flashed firmware why does it matter if you are playing backups or originals at the time you are detected? The drive is flashed at all times isn't it? Or does the firmware only run differently if you are using a backup?

microsoft needs to realise people are still paying them for their goddamned service which everyone else is giving for free. theyre not winning any fans with their bans. and with the ps3 gaining momentum and the wii already having surpassed them, i dont think the 360 can afford to be turning away people.

oh well. their loss.

where are these early indications that 1.2 ixtreme are safe, it doesn;t actually appear that way from this person's post. he had ixtreme 1.2c
that sucks.

to get unbanned don't you have to change the harddrive or something along those lines?

NO, there is no way of getting "unbanned", only option is to buy a new console. MS bans the serial number of the console from their live service. it has nothing to do with the harddrive or any other addon.
