DrugWars DS v1.01
Shaun Taylor has created a re-make of the massively addictive Drug wars for the Nintendo DS. He has made it unique by adding some city images to the game.
What's New in version 1.01
- Fixed a/b swap mistake and the dealer fight bug.

For my first homebrew project, I decided to do a remake of the ever-present, always-popular DrugWars text rpg. I wanted to make it stand out a little, so I added some city images, which ended up making the entire project rather large. In a future version, I might consider compression and an unpacking lib, but for now, lets hope you have highspeed. This uses the font and sprite routines I wrote in the last sample, and you can also see from the screenshots where I was really intending to use that random splash image on the Font/Sprite Routines demo. Unlike the first demo I put out, this is actually compiled to run properly on the emulator iDeaS. I haven't been able to test this on hardware, but you might want to uncomment the lcdSwap(); line in the arm9.c file to get the screens right on hardware.

Unfortunately, I have no interest in doing homebrew for the PSP. An interesting thought, though.

Thank you!!
I love this game! A few days ago i spent an hour or so trying to get that ti-85 calc emulator (which no website seem to host anymore) because i read somewhere that the original calculator could play this game.. but that didn't work..
So anyway, thanks for porting my addiction (not drugs, the game itself ) to the ds!
edit: The game is really good, i like the use of the top screen, but i think you should have included the prices in the "Buy drugs" and "Sell drugs" lists, and delete the Prices menu.. Also, when you are selling drugs, i think the price you bought that drug at should be on the screen, because otherwise, when you are carrying more then two types of drugs, it becomes impossible to remeber if you are even making any profit.. I don't know if the original dos version had those things i mentioned, but other versions i played had it, so it's really up to you to implent them... Great games otherwise
