Running coded arms with hook 0.91 &1.00 psp
I have been trying to run coded arms with the new hook 0.91 loader on my 1.00 psp without any luck can anyone help out ?? it just goes to the screen saying loading and stays there I am sure I copied all the files to the correct dir on the ms.

Coded Arms requires firmware 1.5 to play whether you're playing from UMD or memory stick, no way around it.

Not true, you can use one of the umd run programs that bypasses the firmware check.

Sure you can bypass the check, won't do you any good though. The game relies on certain files in the system kernel to be there and it works very differently on 1.5 than 1.0, rendering any game that needs 1.5 firmware to really need it
The programs that bypass the check were made for firmwares 1.5+ if they would ever show up as they don't differ that much from 1.5 save some security patches it is believed.

Not true, the new hook boot loader 0.91 for version 1.00 psp's states that coded arms works for the 1.00 psp. I just need help in getting it to work.

I have a Jap v1.0 and have been running Coded Arms for the past hour on my PSP using hookboot 0.91 without any problems at all.
You have to download a game save progress file from somewhere (i got mine from gamefaqs.com) and put it in the SAVEDATA folder on the mem stick. I think you probably have to get the same region game save as the game that you have on the stick (i.e. US save for US game and Jap save for Jap game) although as I have only tried the US release I can't verify that.
Make sure you replace the 1.5 prxs with 1.0 prxs and play to your hearts content. It's not such a bad game.
If anyone needs any more help on this then let me know.

Update:
The game crashes when you try to save your progress making it very difficult to play the game. You can load previously downloaded game saves but can't save your own progress. I presume that is the same flaw which affects the game on a v1.5 with hookboot 0.90
Pity really but its very difficult to complain when my input into the creation of the loader was zero. I think the work on this hookboot loader is amazing and I would like to offer a huge thank you to its author, he seems like a very intelligent person.

I got the v1.0 prxs from the Smart Bomb iso (of which I own the original game). It contains all prxs required for Coded Arms.

Thank's for the help, I now have coded arms working (saving crashes it though like you said) I also have space invaders working as well which is a 1.5 version  so happy to not have to upgrade to 1.5

All other games I've tried work without a hitch (of course they don't require a 1.5 firmware though).

perhaps you have the same problem with me.
i can get Coded Arms to work without any problem (with Hookboot 0.92a, without to replace prx ...), but i'm stuck with tenchu.
have you tried with tenchu in your psp ??
have no ideas why  , i've completely did right !!
i try to find what i might be doing wrong, and i found it (only intuitively) :
- i have no UMD to test Tenchu, but Coded Arms work without UMD.
- or i'm stuck with the bad rip of games. i'm trying to find another one.
i post again if i success.
PS: to TestType, try Tenchu in your PSP, then post your result, good luck

Only thing I can think of is make sure you have the v1.00 prx files, also I have now got tenchu and intelligent licence running on my 1.00 psp  I haven't tried the new hookboot 0.92a yet though, I really want to be able to run need for speed or midnight club does anyone know if there is a way to run those games ??

Thanks for your input, but according to v0.92 release notes you don't have to replace the prx files anymore.
