Internal Wavebird Receiver

I read a tut somewhere about putting the wavebird's receiver inside the GC. Now, I can't find it. Anyone remember where this was or who wrote it? I've searched these forums along with some other ones... and can't find it.

Thanks in advance,

I never heard of it

Hello... so you found it?

Could you tell me where to get it? I have never heard something like that existed.

Thanks

Couldn't find it when I searched for it, until I did find it. Now it's available in the forum search. Anyway, here's the TUT:

Oh i had a great idea! I'm not sue how difficult it is to keep the LEDconnected to the reciever, but I would like to know if i can extend the leads on the LED with some wire and place the reciever behind the fan and keep the LED over the contorller ports where the ". .. ... .... " dots are. so when the reciver gets the signal the hole over the port lights up. I'm going to try it ASAP.

i did this on mine. you have to desolder the SMD LED first then just add your LED (no need for a resistor). just be careful not to pull a pad.
