NOD32 is particularly stringent though, if it detects exploit code in almost anything it will notify the user.
It was the same with the PSP tiff downgrader.

Thanks morp! I made a thread to notify people of the potential issues with WiiKey clones in particular and this should really help them out.

I don't get it. The WiiKey setup disc v1.2 let you navigate the menu with the reset button. Why would you need a GCN controller, especially if GCOS still works with the reset button?

Info from the official wiikey page ( http://www.wiikey.cn/)
[07.08.08] Wii firmware 3.0 issues
Nintendo has released firmware 3.0 via online updates. It will NOT brick or disable Wiikey; however, base and config discs will not load 'natively', neither will any other GC disc with El Torito standard header format. WiiNewz have reported that there are already tools available for building bootable config and setup discs, as well as other discs with applications and emulators. We are currently researching why the El Torito format no longer works. Once this is completed new versions of the config and base system disc will be made available.

If you download the kkwarez version,
extract the iso and , make-multiv3.exe.
Open a command box in the same directory.
Enter the command:
"make-multiv3 burnme.iso PAL kkw.Wiikey.1.2.PAL.iso"
for pal.
The disk wil be recompiled with GCOS in front of it.
This takes a LOOONG time.
And then burned the burnme.iso on 4 speed.
I can start the disk without any problems.
So i guess this works for the others if they also fail.
"make-multiv3 burnme.iso JAP kkw.Wiikey.1.2.JAP.iso"
for JAP.
"make-multiv3 burnme.iso USA kkw.Wiikey.1.2.USA.iso"
for usa.
btw.. compiled on vista.

and something else nice to know about make-multiv3.exe
Usage : make-multiv3 <output> <region> <game1> <game2> <etc>
Example: make-multiv3 multidisc.gcm PAL zelda.gcm mario.gcm
Example: make-multiv3 multidisc.gcm JAP zelda.gcm mario.gcm
Example: make-multiv3 multidisc.iso USA zelda.iso mario.gcm
and burn the output file.. multidisk.iso/gcm

after i compile the us setup disc, the disc image size is 4,700,372,992 bytes !? suppose to 4,699,979,776 bytes
btw why we need to make a GCOS if the file inside the rar already with this size 4,699,979,776 bytes (correct size for gamecube) do i just burn? double click on kkwarez.exe and compile to GCOS again only make the file become 4,700,372,992 bytes
maybe thats why some people didnt manage to boot because the size file
