What is the point of making a memory card that supports SD Cards. would it not be better to make a USB Memory card. the same as a SD mod but you can connect and save to a removable USB stick.
I believe the point of using sd cards insted of something like a usb memory drive is the fact that the gamecube memory port is pretty much an sd slot with a different shape. If you think about it, you just wire up a socket and it works. For usb, I'd assume it'd require some extra chips and whatever else. Basically, it's REALLY easy to interface an sd card with the gamecube compared to a usb flash drive.
