Vaz on Manhunt 2 ban: excellent decision, Resistance next

Leicester based MP Keith Vaz has welcomed the decision to ban Manhun2 from sale within the United Kingdom as "excellent". Vaz also implied his sights were set on ensuring Resistance: Fall of Man gets BANNED from the market following the virtual rendition of a possible shoot out in Manchester Cathedral.

Quote:
The Entertainment Leisure Software Publishers Association, which represents the computer and video games industry, said the decision showed the games ratings system was effective and working well.

The Leicester MP Keith Vaz, who campaigned with the Pakeerahs, welcomed the "excellent decision".

He said that another game, Resistance: Fall of Man which features a shoot-out in Manchester Cathedral, should also be banned.

Meh he won't get Resistance banned. That game should have had a Teen rating in the first place. Good luck to him x_x.

If Resistance gets banned(I know it won't), that church should be banned from the face of the Earth! NO game, NO church!!! That would be fair enough!

Mr Vaz should shut up or we might ask to much about his illegal dealings in passports lol. He blamed manhunt 1 for a murder but in the end it was the victim and not the killer who had the game. And as the game held a 18 cert its the parents fault for letting them have it. For a man who likes to go on about ignorance in race and colour he is pig ignorant himself

Like we did not have enough idiots expressing their views on games.
This twat is talking out of his backside as I am sure he has never held a game controller in his life. I despise people who share their views on something they have not experienced or tried.
Also, someone should tell this tosser to stop joining the bandwagon about Resistance.
What the hell is there to ban about that game??
Half Life had a shoot out in a church and I do not recall any one making a fuss out of it.
It was not the Manchester church but the principle remain the same.
The problem is that politicians will always try to score points whenever they can by criticising controversial issues.
Again I ask, what about the freedom of speech?
THis country is becoming more and more controlling anout what we can and cannot do, say and think. What next?
Why don't we ban all politicians who talk nonsense from living in this country and send them to "i am a celebrity get me out of here" jungle to have a reality check?
Even better, we should force them playing all those "outrageous " games and check whether they become all murderers after the gaming session.
Humanity will never change. Always looking for something else to blame for their own issues instead of taking personal responsibility for theirr mistakes.
It is ALWAYS something or someone else fault.

What a dumbass. there is no way they can ban resistance. while it may contain a church shootout it also contains aliens.
It is already on shelf and has a certificate of 15 and over, this means the title is approved for sale within the uk.
He will get to court, they will laugh at him say the game contains much fiction including the inside of the church that it is a public landmark and bill him for wasting the courts time.

Mr Vaz is a Grade A Wanker. Never like him when I lived in Leicester, my opinion of him has not changed now that I don't live there.

Someone should tell him the only reason Resistence got into bother is because it has a virtual representation of the Church in Manchester, no one would have given a rats arse about it if it was just you bog standard generic church.

I can understand him saying about Manhunt afterall if was his area where the 17 year old was shot dead and Manhunt was blamed for it, he has to defend the game getting banned. but with resistence he's talking out of his arse, his son (if he has one) probably owns a PS3 and Resistence.

Of course Resistance and Manhunt 2 are exactly the same, ban them both . Maybe he just loves being in the spot light a little too much.

It's always funny to hear see politicians acting like good Christians, I'm not saint, but these gents lie, steel, betray, and ignore the weak on a daily basis...... so you would think they would first try to change themselves before they try to change the world. There's no economic or status growth in that though, so what's the point.
