Play Divx without Mod?

is it possible to run divx files on a ps2. i have a fat ps2 unmodded and i have a lot of divx files on dvd disc. this might be a very silly question but i dont know if its possible. if it is possible then what programs do i need. i heard of ps2reality and sms player and i read somewhere that sms can run if burned as an audio cd but it might be a load of bull. i tried burning both using a premade iso but doesn't run.

please enlighten me!

doesn't matter now i got a mc exploit going with sms player. i cant seem to run my dvd disc with divx as they are burned as udf discs and sms doesn't read them. sms did however read my hard drive which is my ipod and divx files played fine.

To get DVDRs to work with SMS, you need to make them movie DVDs. The PS2 won't mount plain data DVDRs for security reasons, so what you do is make a movie DVDR that isn't full, and fill the rest of the space with AVIs and MP3s. The SMS page over at ps2scene has some minimal VIDEO_TS files to make the PS2 think the disc is a movie disc. Use them.
