this should be a market for
SONY and Mircrosoft only
Nintendo should do software only as Sega does
Nintendo did Cartridge with N64
Mini DVD with Gamecube
and weak ass Revolution to come, time to get out of the Console Hardward business and make games for the other two companys and in the end Nintendo makes more money

Hand Helds
this should be a market for
Sony and Nintendo only
Microsoft should never plan on entering this market, however should Sell software for this market. a way to not get involved but still get money, like putting Halo on SONY PSP, this would be a smart move

ONLINE
WE all know that XBOX live is the king
no Console or PC online gaming can compare and coming into xbox 360 bam its already set up, Sony will have to invent theirs as PS2 online dont count, hehe.

Graphics will be a big factor in Console but this gen its not going to be as important as all u guys feal. i have a few reasons for it
lets get into History a bit, lets talk about Music

CD Ruled
however DVD Audio is out and is better than CD, but before CD u couldn't live without after CD its big but not the same, i can deal with CD
LETS get into MOVIES
before and to VCR sucked
DVD rocks
however ITS not HDTV Quality
but its still super Clear and even though HDTV is a must for gaming, it doesn't make the impact that VCR to DVD makes, and is as of less importance but cool

XBOX was much more powerful than PS2 however not many games made that much big of a difference but was still important as i compare this generation to Audio CD and movie DVD and i will compare next gen to HDTV and DVD Audio, its nice we will all want, but will not be as much importance as this gen consoles. my point is even if the PS3 is more powerful or vice versa it will not make that much of a difference if it does, the other system would have to have a difference in specs which it will not and if did will fail as i fell Nintendo will find out. i always been a BIG Nintendo fan, i owned NES, SNES, N64 no i didn't own PSX but respected it. peeps will say that well Gamecube survive so Revolution will too, i dont belive this. i say this

Saturn was a better machine than PSX at first, reason it was Nintendo and Sega world, Sony was new, however Sega's bad buisnes and sony doing its thing in the 3rd Year of PSX it got respect and took over. nintendo was a bit Late but came with 64 bit over their 32 bit, which would have did its thing had it had CD Rom, however Cartridge hurt it a great deal, not like u could buy a game on Muli Cartridge, nor would i have wanted too, so during this Time Square went stricly SONY. Don't belive me SEGA and Nintendo has always survied on First Party Games, WOW what does SONY have? Gran Turismo and finally Gods of War? both good games, but what else, hehe anything else is not owned by them, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Grand Theft Auto, all games they do not own that made their system. However these companys did not want to waste time with N64 Cartridge, then Dreamcast came out, much respect to it, but due to their Bad Buisness in the PAST, EA Sports, Square, ETC all didn't want to get screwed again, but again it did well due to First Part games. My point is SOny could never last if it had to survive on its own games. XBOX was the first Console that EVER had what it took to compete SONY, but as PSX, XBOX was new had to prove itself meaning their was room for 3, PS2 as we all know will end as #1 system even if xbox is better, but as MS said their plan was not to be #1. but after that peeps had a choice for xbox or gamecube. XBOX didn't do that well in Japan. but also XBOX is the first non Japan system to survive in battle. going into next gen SONY proved itself with PSX, Microsoft Proved itself with XBOX and going into next gen their is no ? if XBOX 360 or PS3 will survive, but Nintendo Revolution will find itself in a much harder market because of this and then their system is no where close to power wise. if u want the Truth Nintendo proball has the funnest games of all, Zelda, Metroid is probally the funnest games out of XBOX, PS2 and gamecube but very few would ever know that, Nintendo needs to get out of Console market and put their games on XBOX 360 and PS3 and rep from the benefits of much more sells, games would be much more known, u name it. Proof as with Sega, Sega NFL was just as good as EA Sports NFL, but not many knew as MADDEN still outsold by far, Sega decided to get it noticed by putting it out for $20 and i much rather play SEGA NFL over MAdden but some fell otherwise but for the first time SEGA outsold EA in NFL and got noticed which would have helped them big time, but EA Sports felt treathend so they bougth NFL for next 5 years, kicking SEGA out of FOOTBALL. EA for the next 5 years is the only company that can make NFL, AFL, NCAA football games and for the Next 15 years only ones to use ESPN, which Sega made popular.its sad to see FOOTBALL happen that way but anyways.

my point on XBOX 360 vs PS3
as long as CPU and GPU are close i can deal with that as PS2 and xbox was not that big a difference at times, only some games showed its way
Games will be a Factor some players are Single Player others are Multiplayers and some are both. WE know that Muli Player will be owned my XBOX 360 in this Generation. Mircosoft doing better and better on First party, mainly RARE. AS for Media hum xbox 360 DVD9 and PS3 Blu ray, we all know that Media dont make grapics. however PSX vs N64 hum PSX could do a muli disk game but Nintendo couldn't due to Cartridge, however Mini Disc didnt' Hurt Gamecube in same way cause they just had to do Multi disc games like resident evil which would have taken one DVD on PS2 or XBOX. for GURU who will be into HDTV DVDs Blu ray wil play them, but they makign the technology so nice move to add in their console. on XBOX 360 it is smarter to go DVD9 again. first SONY would never license BLU ray for XBOX 360, nor would it be ready, and if would it would have costed MS way more for license BLU ray then the money it would cost to do a same size game on multi DVD. i like the new Wireless Controllers next gen is doing. i am disappointed in XBOX 360 for doign only 10/100 NIC as PS3 doing 10/100/1000 NIC as i find that is important For Streaming as anyone knows Streaming DVD to xbox really is good enough. with 10/100/1000 NIC streaming a DVD would be perfect for SOund Alone.

MY outlook if XBOX is the more powerful system, it will take over COnsole KING, due to them having FIrst Party games and will only grow. IF sony is the more powerful system they will need to do better with First Party.either way i will owned both as their is room for both systems.
SONY will RULE in HAND helds. but place for Nintendo their. ONE thing i would like to see is PS3 and XBOX 360 make use of the PSP in terms of PS3, XBOX 360 and the SONY PSP all have wi-fi, and would be nice to see a technology possible that was tried but never fully worked. and that is something mainly only DREAMCAST users will know. playing a football game would be cool to be able to have a PSP on my LAP showing the playbook but still controled by the COnsole COntroller giving a grapich apperance on the PSP and not letting u oppenent see the plays u pick. any way i hope many read this and bash what they don't like what i wrote and ahh in what they did like. for ex i doubt that anyone will say the use of what i wrote about the SONY PSP is a dumb idea as it is 100% possible. HUM SONY PSP can browse the web, so at worst send it in that form, but u get the IDEA RARE was NINTENDOS mistake, Microsoft will SHOW them why, hehe PERFECT DARK BABY

Hey psa9 welcome to Maxconsole. Good post but I disagree about Nintendo getting out of the console business.

I'm just curious to see what mike has to say, seeing as how my post that criticized got shot down. I'm not saying you shouldn't post that, I just happen to disagree with just about everything, starting with "weak ass revolution". I mean, how do you know so much about it? Unlike m$, Nintendo keeps secrets. But hey, it's a "free country", as they say... (what about taxes?)

ha. nintendo get outta the game, that aint gonna happen kid so keep with the dreams. nintendo has been around before the playstation and xbox and will probably be around long after. and the reason nintendo is around is cause they believe its about the games not the hardware and thats what makes them tops. dont get me wrong, i love my xbox and my cats love sleeping on my playstation / cat bed. but your comment on nintendo packing up is just ubsurd.

Super Nintendo
Sega Genesis
Nintendo 64
Dreamcast
Playstation
Gamecube
XBOX

that is showing prove i have never not owned a Nintendo Console and i would buy Revolution just to play a few games the make, mainly ZELDA. However while i can easily afford to buy, XBOX 360, PS3, and Revolution, many can't. and as prove with xbox, ps2, and gamecube PS2 is the clear winner by far. However i am a big XBOX fan and only play games that are exclusive to PS2 and Gamecube but also know that PS2 will Stay #1 and in Japan PS2 over rules, which i would like to see change. Nintendo can't change that in Japan, but i feel Microsoft has a better chance at doing. for all the peeps think i am bashing Nintendo, bash this comment. Nintendo is not near as wealthy for making Console, as for this fact will always have their systems more superior.

anyone hardcore as i am knows that making consoles hardly returns u a profit, i feel that PS2 is the only one that returns a profit as their user base global is huge. not that it effects the company as u can see with Nintendo and XBOX. Honestly the few games that nintendo has that i play on Gamecube is honestly best games out. FOR ex, Metroid Prime is best game out this generation, and i feel better than Halo 2 in FUN gaming wise, however Halo 2 rules in mulitiplayer. but the only ones that know about Metroid are Gamecube fans, which is smaller than PS2 and XBOX. but everyone knows about Halo. i find that Nintendo would do better in the Software Market for Consoles and if would be so many of their games that would be exclusive to one system would have users buyign systems just for Nintendos games. and over all, if they went just Software, and they had talks of doing so for the unknown before they decided to try again, peeps would benefit from it as having the BIG N games on their beloved powerful console. but i would like to see someone here argue with me that ZELDA wouldn't have looked better on XBOX, LOL

zelda wouldnt have looked better on xbox or ps2. certain games that are made exclusive for certain consoles always look better on that console cause of the design. take for example metal gear solid. amazing on the ps2. xbox attempted it and it came out horrible. although gta will prove my theory wrong and show that ps2 didnt have the power to properly make that game what the xbox does. and some games *cough* halo 1 and 2 *cough* just suck really bad no matter where it goes. nintendo is as big a name as coke and pepsi and isnt going anywhere.
