The 'viper case' would be the one from Team Xtender ie the XCM cases.

Look forward to your detailed review, possibly with pictures.

Brakken says - If you are linking from Console Junky who happens to have been fired from HushTrap for being a poor PR rep you might be interested in why he is finally trying to attack me. Read about it on my PS2BANZ page. You can clearly see he has a personal vendeta, but I am glad to see he's not freaking out this time.

My reviews are based on the samples given or that I purchase. I am affiliated with no company and make money off of no company. I've spent more money and time from my own pocket then I have recieved in samples. Samples that I do not use will be donated to various causes.

Sites I work free for may be affiliated with certain companies, but I do not profit nor let these affiliates influence me in any way, shape or form. I made this clear to each site before I became a member of it and will pull support and go public if any site tries to pull any kind of crap on me.

Certain threads may have been locked due to abuse by Console Junky/HushTrap/PS2NFO affiliates. If you read the threads you will clearly see they were being abused.

When it comes down to it the HushTrap cases are worse quality and have the same and more defects then the Team Xtender cases do.

If you have been around to go through this whole ordeal I'm sure you know what is really going on which is ... Console Junky is just trying to push the HushTrap cases.

As for the AheadGames deal at the time of my HushTrap review they were still selling the cases. HushTrap ripped off AheadGames along with many other resellers and users and was just trying to cover it up. AheadGames was one of the only stores to compensate their customers out of their own pocket. Want to know more? Read the PS2BANZ link above!

If you're going to purchase a product of course read as many reviews as possible and word of mouth goes a long way. I love this line of text from Console Junky ...

"We will let you you make up your own minds on this one, as you can read the reviews yourself. "

It's like he is assuming people are too stupid to make up their own mind and reminding them they can read the reviews themselves. Very funny indeed.

For those of you interested in the review of the really bad quality HushTrap cases see my ISO-420 Reviews.

----------

I wasn't even aware that these were for sale yet... It's the one with the Viper jewel?

I'm guessing he just called it a viper case? There's no way he got the Xtender one. It's not even released yet.

Not to be a downer, but there's no way he's going to replace it after you tore up the sticker on it.

Wow, guess it was a viper case. Just though u were a n00b that couldn't tell the difference between a Hushtrap and Xtender Viper Case . Also don't think you'll get your money back. Sounds like the xtender viper case is worse than the hush trap! PAPER STICKER! OMG!

ok well i will point out the clear things as these cant be different on each case

1. the eject button isnt made right to the original if you look at the picture below its just some spring holding it togehter so after a while the button pops up when you hit the eject and also doesnt go back in every time

here are the pictures to show you what i mean

http://img210.echo.cx/my.php?image=inside2si.jpg

http://img210.echo.cx/my.php?image=button7ju.jpg

the lines look like scratches but after careful looking there not so must be on every case i have some on the original so it must be how factory make them but on this cases theres about 10 and show very clear as you can see

thats really the big issue, the other one is the warping its not flat its curved at the sides and i mean alot and as the plastic is tough theres no way to bend it back you can see this from the picture.

http://img109.echo.cx/my.php?image=bendy3jx.jpg

the only good this is the flashing lights but you have to push it to turn it on and off i have it turned off as it gets on your tits after 3 minutes.

the lid also doesnt open very smooth just flys up, you can get the disc out ok but not at the sides like the other one theres like a gap at the front i didnt have no porblem with the that. As the the fitting its very poor and doesnt screw tight and leaves a gap all the way around but think this is to do with the warping

i wish id got the other one as least i could of put on my gamecube jewel stick as its same size and it was 5 quid cheaper

one other thing is it didnt come in any protective bubble wrap or anything just in a box so the case was pretty dusty when i got it out that was not a biug issue though as i bought from a fair but if i ordered byu sea it probably damage

like i said i can do a review but id rather just point out the major problems before people think about buying it as i for one am not happy with it

I don't know what's up with them!!! It's like 5 months since the viper was announced and nobody was able to come up with a decent case yet!!!

First off, **** IE! It's got all those pop up shits. It sux. I was showing my mom this. She swears by IE. She was buying me something online and to show her, with a simple copy of Knoppix STD and a couple programs, I stole her credit card number and showed it to her. Now she never touches IE .

Second, It might just be my version or something. I need to manually enter in the address for them to ring up. I'm unsure why.

EDIT- Ok, now they're working. Very strange.

The xecuters will definately have problems. Nothing is perfect. The only difference is that theirs will be way better because each part will match because they're probably assembled and shipped put together so any warping will just straighten out the curves rather than pushing in the sides.
