Your problem is you installed the datel drivers.

Read the solution in the attached text document. This solution got my transfer kit working. I believe this also works for the xsata device too although I haven't tested that yet...

Anyway..the text file contains part of a tutorial posted there...the tutorial covers other stuff too but I guess its only right you register to read it there....

Note: if you have already installed the Datel drivers you will need to remove them completely

Enjoy

Something must have happened in a recent update. I have XP and now my PC isn't recognizing my Datel tranfer cable either. In the Device Manager says something about XBox Security Method 3 missing. Hmmm. sounds like Micro$oft is fucking with gamesavers again!

I just popped my 20 Gb 360 drive into a SATA external USB drive and let Vista install and then right clicked on the icon and ran as administrator and it worked!!!! I was getting the FATX errors and when I ran as administrator it was finally able to see the partitions and allow me to run the image creation wizard to backup the HDD. Thanks for the tip, one thing i really can't stand about Vista is the damn UAC but it worked now so i'm happy.

Latest Version

Yes, make sure you are running the latest version of Xplorer 360. The version i am running is beta 6 and it hasn't had any issues other then the Vista UAC.
