Well, your best bet is to try reading other threads in this forum... like the ones on the first page here.
Asking questions when the answers are already in a thread on the first page will get you mocked as a stoopid noobie.

Now THERE'S a good, non-noobie type question.
You'll find the latest version of CDGENPS2 in the ps2xme/mcloader/CDGENPS2_3.0 folder in the PS2 Exploit Made Easy archive at ps2dev.
http://ps2dev.org/ps2/Loaders/PS2_eX..._Easy.download
Since it's inside an archive for something completely unrelated, that's the sort of thing that you'd almost certainly have to ask about. PS2xme might also be helpful for some folks trying to get the ID Exploit going.

Decided to get a dvd player
hey people
I decided to get a decent dvd-player that will allow me to play the files back. There is one in living room and anime works like magic, I used winavi to convert to mpegs. I have my own hd tv except i don't have a dvd player yet, im gonna get it soon, I have like dvd+rw 4.7 gigabytes couple of them

That works too. I thought of putting my PS2 in the living room, but put my old laptop out there instead.

Yes, but until SMS gets mkv and ogm support, it stays in the entertainment room.

I'll be honest with you, PS2 is the POOREST choice for playing back anime...with the low processor power you are going to be VERY limited in what you can play and most of the time you will have to re-encode the videos. Your best bet if you want to play back videos on your TV is just get an (original) XBOX. Not M$ adverting here, but it's the best "media player" out there. I have an (original) XBOX and own ZERO games, because I got it for the same reason you want something for, playback of avi/mkv/ogm anime on a TV.

Well, the idea here is to get more usage from the console you already own. SMS is GREAT at playing AVIs that are encoded with xvid and use MP3 audio. That's the main limitation right now - it doesn't yet support a lot of containers.
