Most games (DVD5) can simply be backed up using DVD Decrypter (free off the net) :-

Mode, ISO read - to make the image

Mode, ISO write - to burn back the image.

Make sure u use good quality dvd-r such as Ritek etc.

as long as u stick with good media like g04, g05, prodisc and some other stuff everything will be fine. just make sure to get the newest firmware for your drive.

Nero is good to burn the ISO to DVD-R.
