Wii problem: doesnt turn on anymore

Today i installed wiikey in my wii.
Everything went fine and i tested the setup disc, wii original and backups and gc original and backups and every game run without a problem.
I stopped playing and i left the wii in standby mode.
Now when i was going to play a game, i click the power button, the led comes up, goes down, the status led turns off the wii stays off...
Does anyone knows whats going on?
Thanks

put some electrical tape over all the contacts.

When you turn off the console make sure there is no disc in the drive, this caused alot of problems for people. The way they resolved it is to take out the disc and hold the power button untill it turns red. orange is standby so the console isnt off fully, and red is off. Then wait for about 5 - 10 min. Power on agiain and good luck. If it doesnt work, put it back on off - red LED, and then wait 5 min, then take the power cord out and wait another 5 min.

Don't worry, the drive is fine, and it's okay to have the disc in there for now.

Your problem is definately a short (I had this problem multiple times).
Here are things that would cause it:

-You soldered the wrong points on the chip to the wrong points on the dvd drive (as insulting as it sounds, check it over again with the installation diagram in front of you.)

-You have a bridge somewhere. Note that this may not necessarily be caused by solder, but also by the end of one wire touching the end of another wire. Make sure that there's no bridge whatsoever.

-You should put electrical tape over the soldered points on both the chip and the dvd drive.

-Make sure there is no other metal on metal contact (this includes the dvd drive's shell and case).

Yeah this is a short, it happened to a Wii I did once, take the points off then reapply them, then stick electric tape on all points.

thanks for all your replys.
the problem was that the solder points were touching the wii metal plate, i just put some tape on it and now it works just fine
