Need a Wii dvd drive...

Anyone know where to get one? Or have one??

I'm assuming if I send this into Nintendo for repair I'll end up paying for a whole new Wii? (Solder damage to the alternate solder points on the chip)

one person who botched an install reported that nintendo charged them 60 dollars to fix it. (probably just swap in a new drive).

your best bet is to call nintendo as of now, you wont find a dvd drive anywhere

My install went completely bad and my Wii wouldn't even turn on again. Sent it in to Nintendo and they charged me $60 US dollars to fix it. The standard rate for any repair is $75 US dollars no matter what. They had a discount going on at the time so that is why it cost me $60.

The unit that came back was completely brand new! It had a different serial number and everything. Already installed my mod perfectly to the new Wii with no issues this time! I was very pleased with the customer service from Nintendo.

Sent it to Nintendo. but its obvious the unit has been opened... Hopefully they repair it anyway.
