Weird Question, Wiikey & Wiiconnect

If you have read my other post about the update not flashing my chip and the the problems with not being able to play any NTSC-J game then I have a question. When you used your Wiikey Setup CD and saved the settings, was your Wiiconnect 24 On or Off? Mine has been off and even though it does say the chip has been flashed none of my japanese games work, lemme know so I can make my choice if I need to open it back up and send it back for being a DOA chip.

if the wiikey setup disk works how exactly could you even consider it being a DOA chip... Not all games work wiht region patching. if youre using a pal console very few ntsc j games work.

US Wii not playing any NTSC-J games. I have tested 10 NTSC-J games that are confirmed to work on NTSC-U systems. I say its a DOA chip since part of its functions do not work or update/flash.

I can't remember from your other posts (here and on other forums) if you checked every connection from DVD chip leg to WiiKey chip leg for the 4 data connections and from the DVD pcb to the WiiKey chip legs for the two power connections. But I guess the power connections are good if the chip is allowing NTSC-U backups to play. Can't hurt to recheck everything again with it open before sending it back.
