Question Cyclowiz: Alternative "S" point ?

Well, My poor soldering skills made my attempt at adding an upgrade wire to the S point on the wii drive, pretty bad. My friend was able to add the wire to the point, even though it would barely take. I was wondering if there is an "alternative" S point on the chip leg near point S. I made a pic of what I'm thinking of here Would that do the same thing?

Do i risk messing up my cyclowiz if i attempt to update and The S point doesn't work where it was *fixed* (on the board that is)?

My physical switch should be fine, it was tested with a meter, and there did not seem to be any shorts, or bridges. it is not touching any metal, and the contact points are covered with electrical tape to prevent bridging.

S is the 2nd pin on the chip not 1st.

Can't you see the original trace? As putting on wrong point could mean severe damage.

My wii isnt open right now, but it seemed like there were two leads running....to the first and second pins. I sent mail to support, are we positive its the second pin?
