Square enix dev game to teach how to dev Games

Square Enix has revealed plans for a "serious game" for the DS which is codenamed Project GB, which hopes to help teach game design. It allows players to mod a space invaders type shooter and then develop their own simple games which can be shared with others online. Here is a screen in reference to the game courtesy of Famitsu.

It already exists! It's called "RPG maker"
Nah, J/K. Seriously, it's a pretty neat idea, and its perfect for DS.

Well, true game making needs much coding...I dont want to code on the NDS...all the typing would suck.

The idea is not bad, but..just sprite editing would also suck

IF this game includes an interface like "picross" to develop your own sprites, sure is worthy, but I guess a game like this needs a "expansion" slot..and storage media ..like current Slot-2 Micro SD cards

Square Enix has a lot to teach. To my opinion together with the Poliphony Digital, they are the best developers.

I think square are good gaming graphic and GFX designers ( I always say they like mroe to make movies than games..), as a video game developers, I would bet on intelligent games and namco.
Polyphony Digital is out of Question....yikes.. their games include just.... Grand Turismo...
