I got AR max 1.4b on wii with this trick

EDIT: yes they put me on the main page (a name ref would have been nice)

The wii scans AR and rejects it because it thinks its ntsc region.
Thats where all the problems are coming from.

THIS SHOULD WORK WITH ANY VERSION OF AR
AND IMPORTS ALSO

i was playing for a while seeing if i could get a game to reboot into ar
for example in pso when it returns from the web page mode with no avail

but i found a hole in the wii itself.... hehehe

------------------\
Dolqube's disc trick|
------------------TUTORIAL-------------------------

1. put an orig gc game into the wii.
2. hover the remote over the start button.
3. press the eject button.
4. press start at last second. ie. before the button is disabled
5. swap discs really fast .ie get it started before blue light comes on.
6. away we go AR and imports. note: AR not needed for imports

-------------------------------------------------------------------

good luck all. hope they dont patch this. no more updates for me.

sorry i was a bit vague above. not the same time.

1. Press the eject button and leave it as late as possible to press play before the button is disabled.

2. Swap the discs really fast so it can read the barcode before it reboots.

It worked the first time i tryed it for me (obviously a fluke)
but it took me another thirty trys to get it going again.

but i can do it every time now.

but....

ar sometimes is buggy and cant read the memory cards.
took about 3 times before it could.

good luck

let me know how you get on

Ok, I'm in the States here. Just wanted to clarify the instructions...

1. Insert gc title
2. Go to "disc channel"
3. "hover" on start
4. press eject and leave disc sticking out of wii
5. press start before it greys out
6. swap disc

Does this sound right...

haha, this is awesome. So, just to clarify for us retards. This only works on PAL machines [so far, all PALs] and so far, can only be used to boot AR, PAL imports and GC originals?

Sounds like you've got something there. Good work! But more importantly, what the deal with the quote above? If you've actually got something that's working, why not share it? I'm getting real tired of people who like to claim they have some softmod or exploit only to say - "I'll prove it later". I really don't understand what people get out of doing that.

This open-source community is exploding with releases. If you've got something (and are not looking to manufacture/sell it), why not just post your ideas and let the community flush it out?
