Dualis - New Nintendo DS Emulator

There is a new nintendo DS emulator around, this one, correct if I'm wrong, is the second one to actually do something with the nds hardware after hyperDS.

There is a device called PassMe. And some people are doing emulators and homebrew. And some ppl are trying to tunnel the DS. i don't know more. There are a pretty useless DS-Linux project. I think anyway.

even though this forum is not very active, the DS scene is very active in my mind.

The DS has been released for around half a year, and already there are three emulators, that emulate it. That's pretty amazing right there.

Also, there is around 2 or 3 homebrew games (games, not demos) for the DS.

But yes, I agree the DS-linux project is pretty pointless right now too
But it could turn into something cool, because then we could use some linux apps (video players, music players, etc.) on the DS, which I think would be awesome.

well regarding what is yet possible to do with a psp the ds scene is quite dead for now but i hope that someone will make some sort of flash card like for the gba. The passme is not a real flashcard you can only run code from the gba slot in ds mode and that's only interesting for coders to homebrew some games. No playing backups for now but who knows what the future will bring.

Yeah, I really hope the next GBA (not DS) has an SD slot or something, that would be awesome, and open up so many possibilities.

But, yes, I hope a flash card does come out for the DS.

Actually, the DS emulator don't emulate the whole console yet.

There is a media player called Play-yan that is for gba and works on DS. Pretty sweet. Planning to buy it soon.

I'd love to see an affordable device that would let you load things from a regular SD memory card, so perhaps you could have NES and SNES emulators to play hundreds of classic games. I was always interested in the GBA flash carts but they are way too expensive.

Actually there are a bunch of Homebrew games. I've found about 10 so far, although a couple of them don't work. Also, there is a lot of work being done on a firmware hack.

I think it's only a matter of time before a way of playing DS backups off of a GBA flash cart becomes possible.
