Microsoft: 'Viva Pinata on the DS Makes Sense'

Microsoft's Shane Kim was recently quoted as saying that Viva Pinata on the DS 'makes sense' but he did not imply that they were entering into some form of partnership with Nintendo to make it happen. Although Kim seemed to firmly close the door shut on any such franchises heading to the PSP.

Quote:
Do Kim's comments mean that Nintendo and Microsoft are entering some partnership to publish portable games for the DS? Absolutely not. However, Kim didn't leave the door open for titles to appear on Sony's handheld like he did with Nintendo's. " Whether you're talking about [publishing games on] mobile or the DS -- you probably won't see it on the PSP, though."

Viva Pinata makes sense for any console. It's a great game. Most people pass it up because of the bright colors but it's worth playing. Rare did an awesome job with this one.

Viva Pinata on the Wii would make the game even "better".

I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. Rare still released games for Nintendo portables (GBA & DS) after joining Microsoft. Diddy Kong Racing just came out about 2 weeks ago for DS.

Yes that show's the huge intollerance of most XBOX360 owners. Because this game looks "t0H_K!DIEZ" . I also would instantly buy that game anytime, if I had a XBOX360 . Bad, that a cool company like Rare comes up with fresh ideas, and dies with them :P

2 of the top rare emloyees left a while ago didnt they? im sure they said they had intentions of opening up a new studio and wanted to make wii games, i certainly hope so, the majority of the original rare team seem to be fragmented across a number of other companies now with no ties to Ms or nintendo, better for the industry all round i think.

No infact absolutely not. Only because I say you are intollerant, that means that I don't tollerate you? That's stupid I don't tolerate idiots like you who feel personally attacked by such statements because you identify yourself with a piece of hardware. I tolerate XBOX360 owners of course, I'm extremely liberal . But come on the XBOX360 creates itself a "communical position" in a very linear way. Look at the games DoA, a fighting game which can be called porn. Then GearsOfWar, PDZ, Lost Planet and so on . Surely they are all great games but ask yourself: Why are these kind of games so extremely popular on the 360?

And then a game without technical issues, with alot of fun and great ideas. Give Viva Pinata big tits some guns and then it will be toleratet like hell . btw. I reffer to these XBOX360-only-fanboys . And be realistic, VivaPinata isn't THAT childish. It's a creative title from a company with alot of experience.

And again as I said: Most, not all
