Up from now, all new orders for the Wiinja will be 25 Euro + taxes as stated from Team Ninja. They officially dropped the price today. I think we are comming a fair price closer ^^
I don´t know how fast the resellers will sell for that price.
Now I am tempted.. I always liked the Wiinja, as it reminded me of the MOD chips that I started with on the PSX.
But when the Cyclowiz appeared and then the WiiKey, I decided to sit back and watch what happens.
I have been saying to colleagues since the Cyclowiz came out that Wiinja should slash the price, in order to capture as much of the market as possible and it appears that this is what they have done.
They are much more able to do this than Cyclowiz, as they are making almost 100% profit, compared to Cyclowiz, whos developement/manufacturing costs are far higher.
So, if I can find a supplier in the UK who can do the Wiinja for the new price, then I am sold, as this will be a good temporary mod until the dust settles.
Got my Wiinja today (I'm in the US). I had my Wii already wired with a socket so dropping the Wiinja in was no problem. Works like a champ. Backups burned on HP DVD+R on a Pioneer 111D are working at the rate of about 80% (approx 4 out of 5 worked). I attribute this ratio to media/burning. I'll try a re-burn on those backups with different media and see what happens.
The chip is not glamourous, but it does work. I have only tried Wii backups at this point. Don't know about GC backups/imports/GCOS.
