Whilst the Cyclowiz looks better value for money (in terms of 'electronics') those 'quick solder' solutions are horrible. They are more likely to do damage and near impossible to remove.. In contrast, as simple chip like the Wiinja can easily be added, changed and removed.. Its a shame that the Wiinja isn't a tad cheaper, but at the end of the day, we are paying for whats on the chip, rather than the actual device, so I guess its fair!
So it gets my vote for that reason alone!
Although, I have to say that I am still a tiny bit concerned that this may still be a fake (although I don't really believe that).. I am holding off buying just until someone has confirmed that all is well!!

You should add an answer for those who will program their own chip when the hex comes out That will be a lot cheaper for me as I have a pic programmer already..

I already ordered the clycowiz. If it will fit in that black plastic part where the wiininja goes I would rather do wires since its cleaner to uninstall if something better comes, like previously stated.

cyclo wiz, will install with wires. (Who says you HAVE to use the quick solder method)
Less expensive was the reason, probably very similar code to the wiinja, just on a 28 pin PIC instead..
42.00 bucks shipped for a chip so the kids can play off backups instead of originals and the GC backups? No pausing for me before ordering.
I would rather pay 40.00 more and not have to wait for someone to dump the PIC code and then buy a single PIC and program. It's not like I have PIC's laying around anyhow. And that is assuming someone will do it to release to the public. (In a resonable ammount of time) I already know someone is buying one to dump the code, probably for the next round of modchip that will be 35.00 shipped instead of 42.00
