Wii Controller Mod (PT. 3)
Here it is. I am completely confused as to why the 'teaser' threads backfired. I don't really recall one nice comment. Whatever.
Rechargeable battery, via ipod battery.
Added Power Button Light
Charge via USB through stock Wii Dongle.
There is more i am leaving out. Right towards me putting it all back together, I can name about 5 things that went terribly wrong. So this is now dubbed my "Version.0". I don't like how it turned out internally and some scuffs/burns externally.

I like the USB recharge function. This should have been included in the original controller anyway, as the wii has two USB ports, seems logical. At least include the functionality for it.
Nice job!

Nintendo will release products such as a wired ethernet adapter later on.
BTW If you guys think I just hooked a spliced male end usb to the dongle youre verrry wrong. Internal modifications to the Wiimote are required for this mod - as well as modifications to the internals of the Wii dongle.
Im tired and cranky, ill postback with more details and pictures later.

Accessories like the ethernet dongle, and once they implement it properly, usb storage devices.

That's a nice mod, I always found it to be stupid that nintendo didn't include any recharge method right of the back.
Also. Ethernet is its own port that resembles a phone connection, i.e. You can't use an ethernet based device on a usb port without using an ethernet to usb adapter.

Nice mod...but instead of using an ipod battery why not just use normal rechargable AA baterries? Just cos ur using an 'ipod usb' dosent mean you have to use an ipod battery...
usb carries 5v and 2xAA are 1.5v each so 3v.... more than enough to charge them effectivily with the help of a voltage regulator...
Good work though!
