Wii Controller Mod (PT. 2)
Edit: I don't post on maxconsole but I figured I would start. Since I dont post here you wont know where part 1 is. Ill post it from the original forum I posted it on. You can view the VIDEO - HERE
PART ONE (GOTO PAGE 2 TO SEE THE MOD COMPLETED!!):EDIT- In that particular forum I cannot edit my posts, therefore you wont be able to see the pictures. Ill have my own site up in a couple of hours and you can view them there. Sorry again
Yea so I had this idea long before I even did my previous mod. I already know that there is a mod out there that is a blue light A button, but to my recollection it had no info on how it was turned on or anything. I am making it very clear I did not copy that persons mod and I had the idea long before theirs. Plus mine has more..."features".
Wiring was a pain because instead of having a ground and a power, you have to ground from each light. To make it still function flawless and light up good was an extremely hard task. Total mod time was around 3 hours straight.
Just like my previous mod it is respective to its player "port".
EDIT-It seems my photobucket bandwidth is exceeded! New pics added below. Sorry for the wait
Only 1 problem in the end. When connecting to the console (all 8 lights are lit) the red seems to fade and go to a lower voltage and turns somewhat pink. Probably a contact issue but im completly content with how it turned out.
Video of me cycling through the "ports".(I apologize for the bad quality)
EDIT- If the link above doesn't work here is a youtube link below, sorry again.

that is fantastic, its great how you made each one a different colour on one remote, at first i thought u had just done 4 remotes.
its a shame nintendo didnt do this from the start then it would make identifying which player is which easier

Yea ive had the 4 wiimote lights on the bottom for a while now. I recently moved to Idaho from Texas so it was a long move and it put a great pause on any project I had going.
Thanks for the comment.

I think the bigger question here is how did you manage to lay your hands on 4 Wiimotes?
Nice mod though, any chance of a circuit diagram?
Spelling for TXT kiddies:
YOUR = "Your mistake" -> YOU'RE = Short form of "You are" - As in "You're incapable of spelling"
TO = "I'm going to work" -> TOO = As well as, as in "I'll go too" | LOSE = "You'll lose" -> LOOSE = "The lid is loose"

Über Xbox 1.4/X3, PS3, Mac.

Fantastic!
Why Nintendo didn't do this to begin with is a mystery!
I could personally do without the "A" button lighting up, but on the bottom?!? Nintendo was first to add color (via stickers) to the controllers to know which is which (NES Satellite). It is baffling why they didn't do it here!
I need this.

It is a pretty nice mod, but most peoples favorite color (on average) is blue. I think thats why Nintendo kept it all one color, so people wouldn't be "complaining", for lack of a better word, about the different colors. That and blue always looks very sleek, well to me anyway.

The mod looks fantastic!
Do you by chance have step by step instructions on how to do it? Plus what parts you need to buy?
Thanks for the pics and great work!
