DSlite review

Ok i know this aint no game review, but this IS a system review, so be happy.

FIRST OFF! i think the DSlite is awesome, and im not complaining, im just pointing out its few failures..

1

I cant play QIX on my DS.. Nintendo, what were you thinking? what shall i do with all my old GAMEBOY games? I don't care how far it would have stuck out!

2

one thing i didnt like about PSP was the fingerprint magnet faceplate.. why did you make the DSlite shiny? look my GAMEBOY has no fingerprints.. and its still clean!

3.
At least it still fits...

4.
Look at those systems, they all still work. I feel like my DSlite is gonna break if i take it with me... isnt that the point of a handheld?

I mean, even the buttons dont feel very secure, what happened to the insanly awesome buttons of the SP? these dont feel right. the Dpad reminds me of the SNES dpad, all wiggly and stuff. The SP had the best buttons of any handheld EVER!

5. why does the system shut off in main menu when ever you exit options? i mean, it could be to readjust the system for recent changes, but what if i dont make any? IDK the whole system feels like a PSP, like it was made to break.

6. WHY MAKE THE CART SO SMALL??? i dont care if its the size of the system as long as i cant lose it.. come on nintendo..

CLOSURE: It feels rushed, which it was, but come on! didnt you learn from the past nintendo? KEEP THE FORMULA! i hope the next handheld from the N isnt like this one.. i didnt know lite also meant lite on design.

Thumbs up

eh, you can claim the pic if you want...but the only reason why i still have them is because i would probably only get like $25 for all of em (xcept DSL) lol.. and we all know it...and i would never sell my Grey Brick, got it NEW!

Haha, well I gave them away to my cousins. Only thing left is my GBA SP, NGPC and newly bought DSL. Ofcourse, as much as I wanted to keep them, its better that they have it since I probably wont be using them anyway. Still, I misses them...

What do you mean by vibe? I also own a PSP, I dont play it much though. NGPC is quite ok, sadly its discontinued. Im only using it to play Match of the Millenium.

Yea, it does feel a bit fragile. However, mine's inside a play case most of the time, so its ok. I agree with the wiggly buttons comment, it irks me as well.

Cool old school gameboy pics. It looks new

By vibe i mean its feels like a psp, fragile. when i had a psp , ppl wouldnt even touch it cuz they were scared it would break... way to go sony , great way to sell systems.

i remember seeing a japan report in TIPS n TRICKS back in like the late 90's showing pics of a NGPC and i was like, 'omg i gots to get me one.'

..never saw one fer sale tho.. back in the day the sideways layout was DA BOMB. also its got the menu on it when u dont put a cart in.. way cool for 1998-99

I dont really think PSP feels fragile, it does look like its gonna break easily, but if you hold them its pretty steady, infact i feel its much sturdier than ds lite, ofcourse im not crazy enough to do tests, so ill just assume they are both sturdy. =)

I went to Hong Kong back then and I saw it, I do believe it came out with Wonder Swan also, the unit was really cheap, and I saw Match of the Millenium so I bought it. Not to mention the joystick like pad is really nice for fighting games. Yeah, pretty cool for the 90s'
