Talking Ps2 linux

has anyone used or heard of ps2 linux and can anyone tell me if you can install it on the harddrive and then be able to install games on the same hardrive too.

Linux works on some of the big ps2 machines.But i think it works only up2 the v9/v10 consoles.
And games you can run and install on your harddrive while using the hdloader.

you can basically do your own homebrew coding with psgl and some other tools and can do some basic stuff with the ps2 as a computer not much though with 32mb of memory.

yes its basically like running linux was your running a game you have the bootstrap loader on your memory dedicated to linux and you pop in the disk and do what ever you wanted

Question Help

where can i get linux and would it be possible to run it off a memory stick??? And could i run a c++ compiler on it?

i found a guide which explains how you can install linux and hdloader/hdadvance on the same harddrive, BUT its in portuguese

Yeah, that's good but is there any way to get linux on a 1 gig usb drive?? I got the fat ps2 and i know the usb is slow i don't care. I would do it the other way but my parents would get suspicious if i bought a harddrive, but a usb drive that's easy to hide and i'm only 14.
