Lightbulb DSLink - DS Cart Sized Flashcart With microSD Support!

DSLink:

A DS cart sized solution that uses microSD media! Below are some screens of the product and the menu system.

The developer said that the Castlevania intro has no slowdown at all using KingMAX card! This is truly the future of flashcarts!

I don't know how the other companies will be able to compete if this thing works even slighty well. I mean it has built-in Nopass and flashcart. The only thing it wouldn't have is GBA support but an emulator could always come out later!

More info can be found here:

Its made by the same people who made the GBALink, EDIY studio.

I thought there would be no reason for me to upgrade from my new Supercard Lite and Passme3 combo. It has the advantage of GBA support (although not great) and has very few drawbacks. Then I realise that you would be able to play single cart multiplayer games with this new cart. That's a big bonus.

However will it have the same type of save game management. It's so great not having to think about it at all with the SC that I don't think I would move unless it was similar.

I feel that they probably want it out ASAP since it's been too long already. a dslink for ds gaming and gbalink for gba gaming sounds interesting.

My guess is september, according to the speed supercard got scl out.

It certainly looks close to deployment. The cart looks well constructed and could quite easily be a production model. As long as the pictures aren't faked they have working software and even the packaging. Seems they would only have to ramp up production and get them on the boat.

Has anyone managed to gather any more details from the asian aites? Is there an english thread about it on a different board with info?

Who cares about GBA support on the DS port.

If this works you have a free GBA slot to place your M3/G6/SC/F2A/FA to play GBA games

This means:
- Use of rumble pack
- IF the Opera browser GBA expansion could be dumped and flashed to gba flashcart, the opera rom would work nice

Would be nice and i just got me a 1gb MicroSD Sandisk Ultra II \0/

All I can say is FINALLY!

I'll wait for reviews on this product (and I'm sure there are some flash card companies that will be picking this up to duplicate it).
I would like to see this product from M3 though they are by far the best I've had
(I own M3, supercard, EZ-Flash and Neo).

Maybe it will be possible to run GBA from the DS slot (like the DS runs from the GBA slot)....maybe, but at least this is a start in the right direction.
