ds or wii

im going away internatinoally for christmas. I have 2 options. 1, i can get the ds, and take it with me, im going all the way to asia from here, so its like a 24 hour flight, plus stops, or 2 i can get the wii and play it when i get back. Which one do u think will offer the most fun?

eventually i of course will . i think i'll get the ds before so i can take it with me. i have a question though. i heard u need all types of hardware to run hombrew, and i dont really know how to use it. but i know that there are things like a g6 and an m3, and they go with the passcard3, and i was wondering if someone could explain these, and tell me the difference, or maybe suggest what i should get. Its gonna be kinda expensive though, cause i dont have the ds (lite) yet, adn i want it, but i also want games, so it might be kinda expensive, so im worried about taht too.

Since you're low on cash, just go with supercard lite. Here is what you need:
- 1 Supercard Lite
- 1 microSD (Try to get Sandisk Ultra II to avoid lagging)
- 1 MK4-Key (Cheapest nopass with excellent compatibility)

Usually the bundle gives you SuperKey instead of MK4-Key. If it's cheaper, then go for it.

sorry, i didnt really mean i was low on cash, i can just use birthday money to buy games. I heard that the G6l and the passcard 3 or whatever is the best combo. I didnt really mean that, it was just that, i was kinda gonna have to make sure i buy good games because i know i'll end up playing homebrew more, so thats more important right now.

i was wondering whether the m3 lite will take a mini sd, or micro sd. i heard that the normal m3 uses mini sd, but someon told me it takes micro. which is it? what about the m3 lite?

The M3 Mini takes up miniSD while M3Lite uses microSD. In my opinion, if you want to do homebrew then take supercard instead of G6.

Buy a DS so you will have something to play on the plane
Nintendo hasn't confirmed yet that the Wii will be region free (though it probably will be), so you don't want to bring it back here to find you can't play any english games on it.

Don't foget to buy a converter to charge your DS up in Asia. Not sure if you can charge it up on the plane if you plug it in to the 2 pin socket. I think they are mainly used for headphones so not sure if that would work.

Again, M3 Lite uses microSD not miniSD. People like G6 Lite so much because G6 Lite has been released while the M3 Lite is only liked by the M3 staff because they know they'll be making money when it is released.
