I've been trying to connect myself via a ralink rt2500 card, all the modded drivers are ok but it says error 52102 (cannot reach the server: firewall ??)
I've disabled all firewalls/Anti-Virus ...
I've been hearing of a sort of ban (which 1-2 months ago was not active yet) occurring when playing with a rom + card instead of the original:
anybody knows more about it ??
In case the ban 'question' is true, would it ban only the game or the whole machine never more allowing any title to go on-line ?
being an legit owner of mkds, owning a supercard w/ passme, and having a want of easy means of playing my ds games...i found the go-around online version of mkds and threw it onto my cf card. online play is good so far. i'd guess your problem has to do with hardware settings.
Its your hardware. Google your problem and you might find the answer. Mario kart runs fine for me online and I used a regular cartridge and a rom and they both worked the same.
1) You are NOT banned. Check Nintendo's website as they have a very good troubleshooting section and forum for wifi. You can look up your code and get additional information on the problem you are having. There are SOME wireless routers that have issues with WFC - some of those problems have been corrected by updating the routers firmware - others simply don't work. So your best bet for resolving your issue is to go to Nintendo's website.
2) It APPEARS Nintendo had started to BAN users last week. A bunch of Supercard users were no longer able to connect to WFC. I believe the error received was 20107 which means you are attempting to connect to the WFC with an unauthorized program. There haven't been many details on exactly what the problem was but to summarize from the people who did experience this (I never had a problem) - Users received the 20107 error trying to use WFC with the MKDS rom (US/EUR/JAP) on the supercard. The same DS hardware was able to connect using a commercial rom in the NDS slot - so the problem appears to be rom specific meaning they were not banning actual systems (i.e. mac adderss, serial #, etc). It is still unknown why these users could no longer connect (they all had successfully connected in the past) but upgrading to the latest supercard firmware (where applicable) and repatching the rom with the latest software resolved the issue for them. Their original game saves worked fine as well.
So it is unknown exactly what Nintendo did last week and why this only appeared to affect supercard users - but using the latest firmware / patcher resolved the problem for those experiencing it. More information can be found on the scdev forums.
sounds like your using the wifime modded drivers on your wireless card. switch to your cards regular drivers and try again
The special ralink ds drivers are just for wifime download play. To connect to the internet on your ds you wil have to connect your ds to a real access point.
