xbox 3-6-0 3 red rings :(

I was copying a Audio CD that i made and it was letting me copy the cd then it said like while you are waitng you can edit ur song title and stuff. So in the middle of changing the song the 360 froze.

I turned it off then back on and the three red lights flash.

if you know how to fix it plz tell me. if not its ok because im getting a new 3-6-0 for free but i will like the stuff that i had on the HDD.

Thx

unplug all the cables. Then plug it all back in. Also remove the hard disk and boot the 360, then turn it off and put the hard disk back on. If that doesnt work u can ring ms and then will send u out a box and u can have them fix it for free.

Mate,

once you have done the above make sure you set the clock, because your xbox360 has crashed it also has lost the time...

if you do not re-set the clock you will have problems playing games on it and it will keep crashing...

check it mate....

good luck

Your hard drive may be screwed. Remove it and try to boot.

mate,

when it happened to me i had to wait for 12hrs for it to re-set itself...

so i left it overnight and removed all the items listed above and connected it all back up again and it booted.

i had to them go into the dash and set the clock because the machine has re-set its self back to factory settings...

how long has yours been unplugged mate, and check to make sure all the cables and the harddrive is connected properly...

99% of the xbox 360's out there have had some problem. Wether it crash's, hard drive corrupts, eats a dvd, frags for no apparent reson or the power suply over heats somethin allways seems to go wrong. Even with all the bugs it has, alot of people would kill to have one. So be hapy you have one.

Obviously Mrecko does not own a 360 and has never even played one. No its not a common problem, the 360's defect rate is actually lower than the average for consumer electronics. I have had it since launch and have not had any problems with it.
