Man sues Microsoft over alleged Xbox 360 glitch

Reuters report a Chicago Xbox 360 owner is trying to sue Microsoft, saying the new video game console has a design flaw that causes it to overheat and freeze up.

Quote:
Robert Byers, who brought the suit, said the power supply and central processing unit in the Xbox 360 overheat, affecting heat-sensitive chips and causing the console to lock up.

Complaints about the problem surfaced quickly on gaming enthusiast Web sites after the Xbox 360 debuted on November 22.

Console owners reported that some systems had crashed during regular use as well as during online game play using the Xbox Live service. Problems included screens going black and the appearance of a variety of error messages.

At the time, a Microsoft spokeswoman told Reuters: "We have received a few isolated reports of consoles not working as expected."

She declined to say how many reports Microsoft had received and said that calls reporting the issue to the company represented a "very, very small fraction" of units sold.

What a Loser !!

This is just getting pethatic. That loser should just return the item and get his freaking money back or freaking sale it but Why Sue!? His probably the same loser that sued Microsoft because the 1st Xbox wasnt reading the CD's correctly. Thats why the system comes with a 90 day warranty and if you want you can buy an extended warraty for it. Microsoft can only do so much. This loser should'nt buy the PS3 or the Revolution when it comes out because im pretty sure his gonna try to sue them too for a small glitch on the systems.

Yeah I'm an American and am ashamed of people suing for everything at a drop of a hat. And you should see how scared people in government are about EVERYTHING since 9/11. If you get a gov't job here, you have to have a plan and be cautious about how you lay out EVERY day you work or you will get fired without warning. This country is getting lamer by the minute.

Even though I'm also flaming mad about the reports.

Suing is not going to acheive anything except looking like a whiny *****. Does he honestly think he can take on the big M? What a tard. Just another mainstream gamer that's got sand in his vagina. How far people will go to lengths before lookin for a solution (and there are some). Bet he would feel like an ass when he finds out just put it in an entertainment center insteadof on his carpet.

followup

I have to agree with raven and orrefan I'm tired of the technically impared in this country. It's pathetic, if you don't want to have problems with electronics though there are 2 options

1.) learn about them so we don't hear your pathetic bitching

2.) go omish and don't own any.

............fuckers.

Btw guy from sweden I had a friend who was a foreign exchange student and he told me about sweden. It sounded pretty cool. To be frank I want to be in a country or state that is more technically savvy. Is it really as cool as he said it was?
