Do games that have been patched with the ESR (or Memento) patcher work normally if used on a system with a modchip or can they only be booted through ESR/Memento? I am assuming that ESR/Memento would require disabling the modchip to run correctly which can be annoying.

If the games have been patched with ESR, they should work fine on a modchip.
If you want to use ESR.ELF to run them , you probably need to disable the modchip.
