A Europe 360 story…What’s yours???

Today was the launch of X360 in Europe.... and I’m from the good old UK.... Hear is my story...


Today I woke up at 3am.....went to my local Gam*st*tion store (* is blanked for legal Reasons )...to get my 360....I was the first one there and I was the first one in the queue....

I pre-ordered my Xbox360 on 1st Sept.....Long time you say.....

But when I got in to the store and showed my slip...the employee asked what’s ur name.... so I told him my name...he looked at the list only for about 6-7 seconds and said I was not on the list.....

Man my bro was pissed.....he told us to F*ck off basically...so then my bro decided to go too, Birmingham....that’s about 1/2 an hour away...but in rush hour 2 hours or more.....

So we got to Birmingham pretty quick....the town is huge...but everywhere we went there was a sign saying SOLD OUT....

I felt like going home and hanging my self with my old Xbox cord......

But my bro was pissed because we called everyday to make sure we got one, before those geeks and freaks did.......so he decided to phone Gam*st*tion and ask them when will we receive ours...the employee goes next week....then we definitely decided to go home and kill ourselves....as we were leaving Birmingham after 2 hours looking for a 360 (830am)....we decided to give Gam*st*tion another try...the manager asked for our name over the phone and telephone number... he goes that we were supposed to get one today, but the worker looked at the wrong pre-order sheet...(BULL SH*T or Is It)...he goes he will keep it for us....

We drove to our home Gam*st*tion....and received our 360....THANK GOD

AND the Gam*st*tion manager....

But it cost about £400....so maybe I will hang my self…..

I ordered my XBox360 on October 25 from Woolworths of all places they didn't even say anywere then that they were taking pre-orders so I ordered a Pro bundle with Perfect Dark Zero and payed to have it delived on the day, I must be lucky because I had it delivered to me at 11am today :O

I didnt even think I would get it, I was gonna pick up my freinds 360 instead if I didnt get my one since he gone and go it from Asda at 00:01am, so he said I could have his pre-order if my order didnt arive he had the 5 order at Gamestation were I live :O.

yeah i was lucky to get mine from game,only got 60 in and they had 100 preorders first come first served i think.

so at 6.30 i camped outside for only half hour lol.bingo one xbox 360

has anyone seen the xbox 360 modded blue by .llamma its going for over 2500pounds on ebay.

i know someone who pre-ordered his console picked it up on the day with his games got it home,set it up and now it just flashs 2 red lights at him and it wont do anything.

he is now waiting for ms to get in touch with him.

when i set mine up i thought it was messed but i have the hd swith on the tv lead on.

but what a bummer for that to happen to your friend

02.11.2005 schop opened 09.30, went in 9:33 got my xbox360 (which in fact has not been pre-ordered, as i hate that ).

Went home, installed and played PGR3 just to notice that it is VERYYYYY loud, 3.0 Sone as some testing facility foudn out

Same here, but even though i work for the money loving b'stards i hate there policies. When the PSP came out all preorders where guaranteed then once people hadn't collected them after about 2 days we were told to sell there preorders. Then later when more stock came in we were told by our regional to ignore preorder customers and just sell them and in high packs. So instead of getting your preordered one they whacked loads of crap with them and sold them for 300+ just to increase there profits. You should here the lies the managment spread when these preorder customers come in/phone asking where theres is and the managers just laugh about it after.

Now the 360 is here and our preorders are collected all but 2 and they are talking about selling them even though i know one customer is on holiday till the 1*th dec and the manager personally guaranteed him he wouldnt sell it!

I preordered mine when the price was annouced. Had it delivered on launch day at 8am. With PD0 and PG3

Ordered mine in August from Gamestation. I was 1 person over the amount they were alloted for launch so didn't get it on day 1. (Bit unfair seeing as how I loyally laid my money down before every scruffy herbert snagged 1 at Asda and sold em on fleabay). Anyhow, GS told me I'd be in the 2nd wave which would be a week or so. Stressed but unrepentant I went home and sat staring at the games I brought despite no console. After a further 6 days the phone rings.... glad to say MS have supplied us with more stock........ howver they've only sent core units (WTF POS and other swearing). Do you want one of these? "No" says I. Well the trouble is we just don't know if we'll get any more premiums before Christmas. Let me think? O.K. have you got any Hard Drives and Hi Def Cables as I have a Hi Def TV and I want to go online, It'll cost more but what the hell? Unfortunately not it would seem. Obviously I'm not keen on a crappy Core that I can't save a game, go online or play in HiDef. Well she says I'm sad to say all we have is wireless controllers and DVD remotes. So as I'm a desperate S.O.B I pay £209 for the console, £20 for a remote, £33 for a wireless controller, went down to Game and Paid £23 for a 64 MB mem card so I could play immediately. Was lucky enough to get a VGA cable from Play for £12 (already going for £50 ish on fleabay), I've pre-ordered a head-set from Play for a further £8 and heres the stinger... I have gone and brought a 20GB HD from fleabay (the only place on the free world they are still for sale) for £145. By the time I pay my gold Live membership £40 I'll have spent £490. Thats before any f'kin games have been factored into the price.
I've been a loyal Xbox (original) gamer and I pre-ordered way before the majority of the profiteering spivs who managed to get one before me, but I feel well and trully shafted. Not a happy bunny at all

I think maybe microsoft are getting their own back on me for ripping off their operating systems since windows 3.1 ...... come to think of it I ripped that off too !!
