That's great. I just hope that there are some Japanese games that will work on a US 360. Don't know if anyone was able to test it and find out, but I'm hopeful.

Which games & how the hell do you know?

I am wondering since I am getting a japanese 360 in a few weeks. I really want to know if RR6 & Quake 4 will run on it since I already have RR6. If not I need to sell it and buy up rr6 jpn release.

He is correct but only 50% as its up to the game creators if they make there games regioned , theres a list floating about some where of whats region free and what isnt , by doing this its going to be a pain as some games will be region free and others wont

That's how the original xbox worked as well. It's up to the publisher wether or not they want MS to add territorial control into the digital signature.
