Awesome work royginald, I am really looking forward to what can be done with this new model psp, seems like sony has really worked hard on making this one incompatible with the current hacking methods.
Hacking All Xbox 360 drives, All revisions (Liteon, Benq, Samsung and Hitachi) in Scotland and UK Wide (Mail-In Service, Only Need The Drive)
Now hacking Liteon DG-16D2S 83850c!

After swapping the cpu - the lack of video reminded me of the first run of pandora on the psp-2000 - had to run the process "blind" untill a new video driver was created by DaX/M33 - maybe that's the case here?
I'd assume the video driver wouldn't have much to do with the physical cpu - but, of course i reserve the right to be wrong.

If there's one thing i have faith in - it's that the psp scene *will* find a way.

I'm thinking of "blind Update" so it'll "correct new video driver" by reflashing Firmwares.... I encountered this since the first PSP2000 arrived... I had run Nandtool "blindly" .
If you can see memstick or may i say the PSP is reading whenever i press X and O..(accept/cancel) so it's running a Firmware from Version2 CPU (2007)

Or TA-085... that would be interesting.
What concerns me is the lack of well... anything... when a Pandora battery is inserted, it sounds really bad... I'm thinking Sony probably went with an entirely new approach to perform servicing on PSP3k's maybe some USB stuff?

I don't think they went that far...
It's still gotta be the battery...maybe a new serial number..
has anyone checked to see if 0x000000 auto starts the PSP-300x?
Since we know 0xFFFFFF doesn't put it into service mode?

Are the power IC pinouts the same for a 3k_TA-090 and 2k_TA-085/88, all be it smaller... could a 2k power IC be used on a 3k board... if so would it now respond to pandora/auto-boot?
