360 vs Modded Box

The 360 seems like M$ just wanted to get in on the whole modded world all the things you can do on the 360 you can do on a modded box-media player, copy games and networking with pc etc....
What d you guys think? Modded or 360?

i love my softmodded xbox... mainly use it for XBMC...

i heard the 360 doesn't play everything that XBMC can... and don't u need XP Media Center for streaming video n stuff?

yea thats what I mean we can do more things on a modded box than the 360, I know there are a few guys trying to figure out how to mod them and Im sure it will be done soon but i kinda feel like the modded vs 360 is better even though the 360 has better hardware I still think a modded box for now will reign supreme which gives most of us plenty aof time to wait until the 360 is about 200 bucks........lol

yeah... thats what i'm thinking

i rushed in with the original, and i'm happy i did due to being able to run the very first softmods on it (i had the exact kernel and dash needed)...

ever since then my xbox has been priceless... and i'm happy i spent the cash (and traded in a bunch of old stuff)...

despite how much i'd love to get one (cause its new and looks kewl)... i'm going to try very hard to wait, let the price drop and keep an eye on the scene...

it also depends higher on what you actually want to do with your xbox/x360...

if all u want is to play the latest and greatest games... then its well worth it...

only reason i bought my psp was due to homebrew... same goes for my dreamcast... my ps2 and xbox were bought cause i thought i just had to have them.... my ps2 has so much dust on it its not even funny and my xbox is used for 80% XBMC and 20% games... maybe less...

although before softmodding i did use my xbox more then my ps2 anyway... lol

right now = modded xbox

in a year = X360.

Right now the 360 has very little if anything going for it. Few original new titles, cutting edge bugs, electronic infantcy. The xbox has everything going for it in homebrew, proved reliable and completely configurable.

If it were me I would save the $300 and get an xbox, shouldn't be more than $100 - the guy above gave his away. When the 360 has more going for it, to be blunt, go with that. I don't know if MS stopped development for all xbox titles - other companies will probalby still release for a bit before changing to 360-only.
