A suitable 16:9 Widescreen TV For Xbox360

[SIZE=2]Since I knew the feature of the new Xbox 360, and it has been has been designed to play games in HDTV 720p (1280x720) mode with high graphic quality.

I have been saving few dollars to buy the new generation of TV (High Definition Ready TV). So I started to look out for it, and visited few electronic stores, to see the demonstration of those HDTV. Also I search in the internet to be aware of the different Features and pacification of HDTV.

But I’m very confused which one shall I choose?

Well I don't have any experience with those tvs, but I wouldn't buy anything from sony (boycotting them myself) after what they have been doing with their rootkit, drm, etc. Anyway, from what I have seen and read about tvs, the best way to go would be with either samsung or lg. Personally, I think lg is better quality all around. If possible, I'd say look at em both side by side and see which one looks better. Oh, and boycott sony whenever possible .

sony has the worst customer support for tvs, i was forced to get rid of a 6month old wega because of there negligance in helping me. as for tvs not to get, i can tell u that my experiences with any projection tv, lcd or standard all have terrible images whenever light is present. just something to think about. i dropped a cool thousand on a crt hd, they are pricier then projection and dont go nearly as big, but the difference in the image you can see why. besides the image factor lcd and plasma are almost guaranteed to have problems in 4 to 5 yrs, projections with the tube and plasma with the liquid, with that said if you get one of those two tvs make sure u buy a protection plan

Sony Suck they rip you off then you get issues with the product so they **** you about anyway isnt Samsung bringing out them tvs for the xb360 to public like the ones they use in the stores ??????

i wouldnt get that tv, for a few reasons. one being the fact that its a toshiba projection under 2 grand thats only listing 1080i as the hd output. while i am with a 480p/1080i hdtv mine is due to it being crt and at the time there werent really any crt with 720p. but projection its pretty standard nowadays with 720p. projections ive seen the best results with samsung and mitsubishi, rca have been terrible with new products, sony with the customer support and toshiba with clarity. Just know that you get what you pay for and if your paying that little for such a big screen your not gonna get the best bang for your buck. also dont get projection unless your familiar with calibration because theres a few people i know that have had there red/green and blue lines shifted during the home trip. just a little fyi.

If you're going to get a HD tv, you're better off geting one that is a projection that's DLP. Much better priced than plasma, and you wont notice a difference in quality.

Also make sure that it is MULTISYSTEM. You might want to play some PAL games in the future.

[SIZE=3]Yesterday I went to the both store (LG + Sony), I inspected both of the HDTVs that were mentioned in my previous post.
Both are fantastic, however LG has more control over the screen's options, for example, you have control over the screen position adjustment just exactly like any PC's monitor, which I found it a good advantage, because some game need some screen's positioning adjustment, I guess every body noticed that on some game.

But, Sony has just released a new LCD Flat Panel HDTV called BRAVIA, which plow off my eyes .[/SIZE]

most if not all projection tvs have a screen adjustment, its just some decide to hide them in the service menu which is easily accessible if you know how to find it. but again, if your very noobish on tv calibration and have no idea how to calibrate convergence because it will more then likely happen with projections.
