Manhunt 2 Uncensored PS2

Hi There
Please can someone explain in noob terms how to modify the contents of the retail ISO to make it uncensored without blurs and darkness for uncensored kills. I know there's a PSP one but surely there must be a siimilar way of modifying the PS2 one. I have downloaded Apache 2 but don't know what to do next. Please can someone help a desperate man in need out. I saw skirocket pfp patch and program on another link. Is it possible he can make one exactly the same for The PS2 as that seems more simple than editing each file. Help please.

I've taken the fade-to-black patch from PSP uncensor thread and have put it in an ppf for PS2 NTSC Image.
Its untested and i'm not sure if its working at all. You may want to try it on a rewritable disk first. Please give feedback so ppl know if its working or not.
Check filesize of your image first. 2.657.058.816 Bytes

Edit:
Confirmed working. Patch should be ok.

Attached Files MH2uncut-PS2.v1.0.Maniax.rar (583 Bytes, 267 views)
I have downloaded this and attached it using ppf 3.0 to my Manhunt 2 NTSC-PAL land it works great except that after the first level I can't go any further as the game don't save. The cutscenes lag and stutter also, only the cut scenes. Have I done something wrong or is the patch faulty. Help pleaseas I'm getting closer. How do I apply the gory particles from The BETA in it also.
If Fakk2, Maniax or anyone in the know can reply, i'd appreciate it.

are you sure that you used the correct region patch for your manhunt2 disc? this game is rellay cool, especially if you remove the censors. this game was meant to be experienced much like the first one was made.....UNCENSORED!

i just noticed that this patch was originally for the psp and converted to the ps2 in ppf format and he didnt even test it before he released it. THAT may be your problem. i would get a new patch.

Maniax worte-

If you read further down in that post, others tested it. He is the one that created the patch for PS2.

The Manhunt ISO has to be of the right size for the patch to work.

Here is another post about the Manhunt 2 patch. There are 2 posted here.

my Manhunt 2 NTSC retail game was converted to PAL before I applied the patch. Could that be something to do wth it?

I don't know if that would make a difference or not.
The file size of your ISO has to be right though.

I had mine patched already when I got it.

yes, that is your problem. its like having a pal save for an ntsc game. the patches are region specific. seems like the patch was ntsc. i would try to patch the game as ntsc BEFORE you convert it to pal.

I'll give that a try patching it first before converting it to PAL.
I can't remember the program I used to convert it but it was
a simple one. But surely if I? just burned the patch on the
NTSC retail version, it would play on a PAL PS2 normally using
swap magic 3.6.

Why do you patch it to pal at all? I ran the ntsc version on a pal device as well with stock cables (non-rgb). But i never finished the 1st level though i think.

I don't think that any pal<>ntsc patcher will rearrange the filestructure on the disc so the ppf patch wouldn't work. Either you got a different iso or its something else. It might be possible that your dvd media is barely readable by your ps2. Use Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden or other media.

To check if the ppf patch has been properly injected you can extract corresponding files (check patch info) once from the original manhunt image and from the patched image. If the files have properly changed the patch was successful and something else is responsible for your bugs.

If you want to apply the diffs manually get the psp patch files from the psp patch thread. It should be some modified text files. Copy the whole manhunt dvd files to your hdd and replace corresponding files with the psp ones. Then recreate a bootable dvd image with the sony dvd generator 1.50 or 2.00.

The reason why, Maniax is because after adding your PPF patch to the NTSC iso (which i converted to PAL before applying patch) it's perfect apart from the cutscenes which all lag and stutter and I cant save the game at all due to the patch corrupting the already patched PAL version. So what I need is some clever person like yourself or skirocket to make another ppf patch but this time for the proper released PAL version. Hopefully, someone can help me as I'm desperate.

2.657.058.816 Bytes (mandatory for patch)
2.658.795.520 Bytes (your filesize)

You just have the wrong version. You cannot use the ppf patch. I disabled CRC and filesize checks by design to speed up patching process tremendously. It was stated clearly to check filesize manually first(!). The patch blindly injects bytes on absolute positions corrupting your image.

You only chance is the method i mentioned above.
