To test it, 'Reset Disc' to disc 2 and try to start a new game, it should then let you 'Switch Disc' to disc 1.
Yeah I did that and it appears fine. Much obliged chief.

I'm not sure, I haven't got that far.

I just tried this (using SLPM-86114 as the game ID and ID for disc 1, and SLPM-86115 as the ID for disc 2) and so far it works perfectly, the audio problems are gone!

Thanks very much akadewboy.

Since that's the Japanese game ID for MGS, I guess PopsLoader has some specific code to deal with the audio for it?

EDIT: Correction, I mean 'Pops' in the line above, not 'PopsLoader'.

Which firmware are you on, may I ask?
I have converted my MGS disks into a multi-eboot, changing the ID to the japanese ones, but it still has the audio issues with 3.71/72. It won't even load disk 1 for 4.01.
Do they have to be single eboots or something?

I remember Sony released MGS for PSP (PSX, Jap version) in Japanese PlayStation Store , so maybe you are right.

I'm on 3.90 M33-3, have the PopsLoader plugin enabled, but am using "Original from flash" (not 3.71 or 3.72 Pops). It seems to work (no audio problems) but when I tried to test the disc switching by starting a new game on disc 2, it didn't ask for disc 1 but just started a new game with no problems (which was a bit confusing but at least it worked, I'll find out at the end of disc 1 if there's any problem).

I am using a single EBOOT of size 961 MB, which was made out of a single EBOOT of size 979 MB, which was made out of the ISOs of the 2 MGS discs (NTSC USA).

Hmmm, looks like I'll have to wait for DAX to release a new popsloader then since the popsloader for 4.01 M33 doesn't have 3.90.

Thanks for the help

That's great news i'll definitely give that ago... can you also do a Multi-Disk version of it by using the codes mentioned??

I might as well do the both and see if there's any prob's.
¦
-> EDIT: Just read that converting as Multi-Disk EBOOT still has sound prob's, just a few post above.

PS: one more thing, what version of Poploader your using and what firmware to?

Thanks

FX

THANKS, but...

Thanks guys!

I now have a multi-disk eboot with the Jp codes on 3.72 and no audio problems! Fantastic....

How do you convert the save game id to work? Region change and all.

And I was very excited too...

By the way, I recompiled it, I didn't use ID changer... I'm going to try that next. But I don't know if it will work, does ID changer work for multi-disk eboots?

Another edit--- IDChanger doesn't fix the audio problem. The audio problem only went away when I recompiled. So I do need to find a way to change my save from the old slus to the new slpm...

Have you tried going in your SAVEDATA folder and copying the old VMP files into the new folder?

Hmm, I was playing a multi-disc EBOOT a while ago with 3.90 and I didn't have any audio problems during gameplay, but whenever I got into codec conversation after a few lines the audio would become staticy and would have mutiple audio glitches. But as far as in-game music, there was no problem - only during codec conversations.

I made it to Disc 2 and switched discs fine, no problem there.
