Lid sensor external switch ?

Hi,

I am trying to add an external switch to replace the lid sensor that is broken in my cube. i know that this has been done before, i just cant find it in the forums. if any body knows how this is done please help

Just do this but put a switch in the middle...works fine.

yea, i have done same, but i putted switch to other side, i left the wire to where it is in laser unit, and soldered another switch on lid-sensor circuitboard.
That way i can use either lid-sensor-switch or that another switch Very useful when using Ninjadol.

i dont suppose anybody know where to buy a spare gc lid sensor? mines is broken too.
