Confirmed: Free Loader for Wii due in about 10 days

Divineo.co.uk has confirmed to us that in around 10 days, Datel are set to release FreeLoader for the Nintendo Wii. The product allows you to play import games from all over the globe and a single version works on PAL, USA and JAP consoles.

Thing is how will this affect Firmware updates and software updates, etc.

For example, SSB Jap version. That requires a sofware update to run, yet dupe channels will occur if booted on a US Wii for instance.

I would avoid this, as all it would take to break it is a quick firmware update.

Would like to think this was a scoop until I checked my email.

This was posted at 4.45 and at 4.49 had an email from gameseek in the uk stating it has a UK release date of 14/03/08

look if there was a way to play wii games region free, dont you think the hackers would have figured it pout by now? i have to admit i was slightly hoping this to be true. no more patching of games.
