Time Machine Bricked my PSP!

okay I was running time machine and I ran Devhook. it got to the menu but froze after i tried to run the firmware. The next time I boot time machine it says "the game cannot be started the region code is not correct" I remade my tm stick and had the same problem. I went back into the PSP firmwarw but it just black screened on me. I used DC4 and got 3.80 M33 in, here are my problems that occur whether I boot 1.50 from the flash or off the nand:

region code (as explained above)
when I put in a UMD it says the disc cannot be read, even though it doesn't even try to read it, as soon as I close the lid before the disk starts spinning it does that.
Internal error when I use WLAN (mac address appears as "-")

I tried installing 3.80 and 3.80 M33 and it still does it.

I hear time machine uses the PSPs idstoragef off the PSP and not the MS.

I have a dump I made in DC3 (I have DC4 now, could I use that with this dump) which should contain the idstorage, should I just use DC4 and do a physical restore or is there something special I have to do?

It's a PSP slim 085, and is NOT that one that cant change serial numbers of batteries (03g I think it's called). It had 3.90 M33 and iNaFlOw theme...

I ran Devhook on my phat just fine...

Your IdStorage is corrupted.
read this post .
While the word spreads, there should be a warning about this; The read me perhaps or a sticky with big letters:
'Do not attempt to use DevHook on the TM'.
I'm sorry.

Good luck.

Your original nand dump will do the job, flash from cory's nand tool.

Where can I get that?

What is Cory's nand tool and eboot? Cuz anything I run (ISO, Pops, HOmebrew) gives me the region code error.

Nand tool is here: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=91899, but as long as you have a working dc4 or dc3 stick, you can just use them to flash your entire nand backup. I'm bet your glad you have that!

Good luck.
When was this found out? Seems like it would of been tested before the release of TM, just saying, not trying to insult DAX or anyone.

I am saying this from experience: Devhook works fine on the phat, is yours a phat?

It still shouldnt cause a brick like this, Devhook uses the memory stick not the flash or idstore...

So should I use Des.Cemetery or nand tool to restore the dump.

Restoring physically is dangerous. But that's if there are new bad blocks. Is there a way to find out if there are new ones? Could I make a physical dump of it now and then use a program to compare it to the good dump and check for new bad blocks?

@realg187 Use Nandtool to flash back your nand dump. Oh and yes TM does use the ID Storage from the nand.
