Homebrew chip install pics for v1.4/1.5

I snapped a new photo lastnight while I was working & did the new pinouts for homebrews on newer motherboards.

WE is the location you jump on the bottom of the board along with the other point on top that is standard on all motherboards. These are the write enable for reflashing the TSOP.

Pad 33 is also known as link to 32 in previous pinouts.

I am having problem with version 1.5. My MFD is 2003-08-14 and the last 5 digit of the serial is 33306. I tried with Xecutor 4979 Repack and the M7. When the turn the power on, the Eject Button flashes twice and Turn red after the third times. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Update... My friend got it to work now. It was the corrupted eeprom. Advice for BrOkEnBoy, reprogram the eeprom.

I have pcmerc`s homebrew up and running

v.1,4/1,5

But my TSOP wont flash. (badflash with X2 4977,Raincoat erased and wrote 100%)

I have solder the 2 top piont, and cut wire 33 when in fully booted into raincoat. (Don`t take the chance to disable the whole chip - lot of soldering...)

No luck.

Do I have to solder the bottom piont as well?
(it worked with the badflash without the bottom piont)

and, What Bios in it?
I used Eprom 27c2001 and EvoxM7(256kb) and my Xbox don´t go on.

I used Eeprom 27C2001 with Xecuter 2 4979_06. It works great. I was having bad/corrupted programmed eeprom before.

I have a Flashrom with X2 4979

Yeah!, I change mi 27c2001 by other new with the same bios M7 and I don´t solder the pin A18.
Now my Xbox is running OK.

I have 3 questions about my homebrew for my xbox 1.4:

What is the 33th wire? (I've got only 32 pins on my flashrom like everybody ...) Is it linked to the 32th pin of the flashrom?(for a flashrom the 32th is also linked to the 31)

Which wire have I to cut if I want to flash my TSOP after ?(extract from a tutorial : "For a homemade modchip, install a switch on wires 16, 32, and the wire you link to 32")
"wire you link to 32" = the wire between pad 32 and pad 33 ?

How can I verify if my flashrom is compatible? (it is an amic A290021T of 256kB :it comes from an abit kt7-a raid)

1- Yes, the 33th wire is linked to 32th, and 32th is linked to 31th in the Flashrom.

2- Sorry, I never install swith in the Xbox.
I don´t have Xbox Live.

3- The Flashrom must be 2 mg. or high.

I have linked the Pad 33 to the 31th wire of my flashrom
then I cut wires 16, 32,and 31.

Hello people. What kind of wires did you use to solder flashrom to xbox?
My xbox displays red/green flashing lights. I suspect that I am using inappropriate wires (I took them from IDE cable, one that has 80 wires)

Ive flashed couple of xboxes for friends, but couldnt get pc mercs new layout to work.So i used another one that worked without probs , still dont know why this one didnt with my homebrew chip....

schmurtz : You cut 16, 31 and 32 are you refrering to the image posted by pcmerc ? And did you cut them just before you flashed ?

Th3_H0unD : Yes ,I'm refrering to the image posted by pcmerc . yes I cut these wires just before flash ,you have to cut these wires once your flashing tool is running.

It works with my xbox 1.4 and on my 1.1 too (but it's not the same diagram)
