[PSP-2003] Really strange problem: NO XMB, only wallpaper
Hi!
I've got a bricked psp(guy said it got frozen while installing 5.50 GEN on 92%), then used pandora to install 5.00 M33. After this psp turns on, shows wallpaper (waves on blue screen) and nothing else, no icons, no hour, no battery, no busy-circle). Ive tried NAND Tool - > dump nand (2727 (2,7k) bad blocks!!) Then i've tryied format Lflash and restore nand. Then installing m33 and reboot - still the same.
After this ive tried format lflash WITHOUT restoring nand and installing M33 - still the same.
next installing 5.00 OFW -still the same. formatting flash1 also didn't show any change.
What to do now?
PS. VSH menu works, RM works but when i turn on psp i can't turn it of normally - have to push power swith for 10 sec
PSP2k3 TA-085

sorry, as of today the NAND of the psp cant be restored as it is different to every PSP.
DO NOT MESS WITH THE NAND IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING!!
throw it in the bin, its really no use
or you could get some spare parts of it

keep 4 spares (screen buttons etc,) even if you get a nand from another unit it wont fully restore it probably some functions missing,i have cross flashed other nands and that was the result of what happened to me, at the end of the day its a door stop anyway so if it was mine i would cross flash but its your responsibility to what you decide to do.

Try and obtain another NAND dump from the same model of PSP as you have (Fat/Slim) and flash it to the PSP using a direct (not logical) flash application, boot it up and see what happens (It'll be all screwed and won't work properly but you'll probably have an XMB)
Download DC7 or 8 and install it onto a magic memory stick, and get yourself a pandora battery, install 5.00M33 freshly, then use the tools in DC7/8 to regenerate your IDS.
When i say install it onto a magic memory stick i mean it, i don't mean use the one you have already, format that and recreate it (You could use Rain's ultra mms maker or something like that).
